B7 S4/RS4 Filler Plate Available!

Hey all,

ECS tuning has an order placed with Audi (that will be filled) for the filler plate for the front grill. I’ve emailed them back and forth and they have confirmed it will be fulfilled. Yes, it is the one that fits the S4/RS4/Sline grills.

They are still accepting orders at the moment. This may be the last chance to purchase this as it is discontinued.

Time to order if you’ve ever wanted one!

I ordered this 5/1/2023 …. They have not cancelled the order and through chat they assure me it has not been canceled and that it should ship 7/29/2024 …. We’ll see :)

Why would Audi DC this? The standard A4 one is readily available everywhere.

None of those fit the B7S4/RS4. You can tell by the clips that stick up from the plate. The proper plate for the B7 S4/RS4 has attachment points that require screws to come up from the bottom/down from the top.

I have tracked down the panel with the 2 horizontal chrome strips. It’ll be with me within the next 10 days.

It probably is, would like to buy the license plate version with pdc in platinum grey 3 years ago and couldn't because not available anymore, and i'm in europe. 😉 so we painted a second hand black version.

I have my original OEM filler plate for sale. It was removed at 40k miles when the previous owner moved to a state requiring a front license plate...

Was it grey or black? Grey version is readily available iirc, its the black and black optics versions that are hard to find.

ECS keeps pushing back the ship date, now it's November 25. Most of the Audi dealerships online claim to have it in stock but once you order they cancel saying they don't have it. How long ago did you order yours? USP Motorsport says they have it available but I'm guessing they will cancel my order also.

This was my experience as well. I ordered it from multiple dealerships online, as well as FCP Euro; all of which canceled my order. USP will do the same. This current order from ECS seems to be happening though. Each time they reach out to let me know the delivery date has been pushed back, I tell them I don't mind. I am buying it as a backup, so as long as it gets delivered, timing doesn't matter to me.

I recommend placing an order with ECS and see if they fulfill it. Supposedly their shipment is coming sometime in November.

Yes. Keep in mind that is the part number for the grey plate with chrome strips. Some people prefer this version, but my plan if I ever need it is to wrap it matte black like the one that came on my RS4. The matte black version is part number 8E0-807-287-C3FZ, but good luck finding a new one. Raffa.Geee is currently selling a used one in the classifieds section, but it's pretty beat up and the price is sky high.

Mannnn. I thought I got one. Dealer said: there are 2 in the US the flat black ones. It’s 202$. Great. Ordered one. Came today… it’s the damn euro plate one. So a week later and still got nothing. Back to the drawing board.

Just out of curiosity… the a4 one. I know the bolts don’t match on the bottom. But is the frame the same? I could maybe cook up some kind of way of mounting it… since it looks like finding an s4 or an rs4 or is impossible.

Why not just purchase the grey one from ECS and either use it as-is, or have it wrapped? That way you will have a brand new one.

Grey ones aren’t available either, last time I checked. If there are, by all means, let me know where to get it. I’m fine with grey!

ECS took orders from a bunch of us a few months ago for the grey plates, and they are expecting them to ship in November. You should reach out to their CS team to see if they will accept an order from you now.

Okay. I'll try that. Being that Audi parts guy said, they're just not listing these anymore in the catalog. It's pretty much gone... i'm skeptical ECS will get them... unless it's some reproduction from somewhere. But I'd take either, honestly.

ECS placed an order with the factory in Germany which is how they are getting them. I was able to source a new one from eBay last week, so I cancelled my order with ECS, so they should have at least one in their order that they can sell you.

Here’s mine.

It was grey, with the 2 chrome strips. My car has had a full respray, so I requested the rear diffuser, and front bumper lower trim to be painted in an Audi black pearl.

I also had them paint the grey license plate blank in the same colour. I’m really pleased with how it’s turned out. 🙂
