Suspension noise and visual fault?

I picked up an A3 8p last winter from a dealer and recently noticed some noise coming from the front end when going over bumps. I put the car up on a jack the other day and saw this condition with the front springs.

Can someone chime in on what i'm looking at here? Is this a complete break of the spring or the spring seat?

Looks like your strut mount and the bearing are gone.
