Same with me. Somehow I got lucky and was able to custom order their one and only allocation. I got the initial order email from Audi Experience confirming it was ordered on March 29.

Still annoyed that I haven't gotten an Audi experience email. I texted my dealer and he said he has I should get it once it goes into production 😌 but looks like you got an initial order email.

Does the Audi experience email are only for US orders or someone in Canada received an email about their order? I did not received anything and my order was created on January 8th and factory submitted on February 17th.

Normally the allocations are dealer spec'ed/ordered. The GM I spoke to said I just made it in before the allocation was "locked". Maybe they put it through as themselves initially? Did they spec it or you?

In Canada, the dealer told me that they have a Demo car that they can spec and they have customer order car allocations to be spec by the client. No pre-spec'd RS3.

I have a feeling we have a few scenarios...

Dealers get allocations, they put them out there and then the Customer claims that and they spec it out (as I did)
Dealers get allocations, they may just spec it out as they want, then offer it for sale.
And finally, the Customer spec'ed one out, backed out of the deal, and the Dealer is listing it for sale as the customer spec'ed out.

I found this '25 RS3 and called them up out of curiosity and it obviously isn't here in the USA... but I didn't quite catch who spec'ed it out (Dealer or Customer who backed out).

Same! I placed my order about 3 weeks ago and messaged my sales guy this morning. This is the response I got.

Hey Ken, that car just hasn't started the production process just yet. Here are some small updates I have received from audi about new cars in general. Currently we are on a 60 day new car hold from audi so I will not be receiving a single new car from audi for 2 months. I have no idea if that impacts productions schedules or if they will still build cars and then store them overseas until they deem ready but I will update you as we are updated!

    C’mon Trump!!

Sounds like your salesperson has the same info that we have already. Which is actually a good thing in a way because it gives hope that there's still info that is yet to be communicated to them and Audi is still mulling over what to do. I wrote an email to Audi USA a few days ago and they actually gave me a call this morning that I couldn't take but will call them back later.

Obviously I'm not sill enough to expect anything from my call but better to communicate that there are a ton of people who are concerned about the cars they ordered. Especially since, for the RS3, it's not like we had much of a choice since Audi seems to always drag their feet bringing it to the US.

Haha this is no joke. I’ve never had a harder time obtaining a car in my life than the RS3. At times it feels like it’s a damn unicorn.

My friends and I go on rides and they currently all have Audis, in fact one of them is the President of the Audi Club of North America. Once I went in his modded RS5 at the Tail of the Dragon, I could not believe it. Just like you said, it defeated the laws of physics!!! Once I started researching Audi's, the RS3, with it's turbo 5 motor just sounded sooooo good with exhaust, and the torque splitter intrigued me. And yes, I do believe this car does it all!!

I will add that I really wanted another manual transmission car, yet the RS3 made me overlook that since it's that good.
SWEET! I never went that far into it but when I was in high school (yes I'm old), back them we went to Miami Hlwd Speedway and every thursday night you could run your car as many times as you wanted at their 1/4 strip for like $5! now that whole area is developed into houses and shopping centers LOL... we had a blast back then, I had my 1989 LX 5.0 that I used to bring there every Thursday and after a while I got it to break into the high 13's, bone stock (just some exhaust work) which was fast back then especially for a car with 225 HP LOL... there were only a handful of different cars at that time, it was mustangs, camaro's/formulas, and corvettes.... then the Grand National showed up and beat down everyone easily lol... there was nothing else back then let alone m3's, rs3's etc.

Iat my local dealership. Plenty unsold stock.
Too pricey for our market here in South Africa.

If you have a 2024 I don’t see any point of changing. Shame the sales guy was trying hard to convince me lol

Dealer confirmed my car's assigned build week 24 the other day - the week of June 9th. That puts me pretty much right on track for the August delivery I believe? That's what the dealer originally estimated.

I'm assuming 45-60 days from build to delivery, not sure if anyone else has significantly different experiences in Canada though.

I didn't get a straight answer from my dealer back in March.

Apparently the Android and iOS we are supposed to be able to add 'something' to our Audi profiles. Instead the reply I got was rather an update (in production, will let you know when it ships). Right now though it looks like on Android, we can only add VIN or scan the QR code that comes with your new purchase:

    https://www.audi.ca/en/about-myaudi/

The company is based in Toronto, would think Audi Canada would be using it, but I am not sure why my sales guy didn't give me more information...it could be that this BIMM company is ready to release and maybe Audi Canada isn't ready for customers to use it???
    https://bimm.com/portfolio/myaudi-tracker/

It sounds like it's a different system then what Audi USA uses though, which is:

Owner and Waiting Program (through your dealer):
    Inquire with your Audi dealer:
Ask them about the "Owner and Waiting Program" and how it can help you track your factory order.
    Receive updates:
This program provides information on key milestones, such as when your order is accepted, shipped from the factory, arrives at the port, and reaches the dealership.

The price of the 8.5Y is like 1k more option for option, but the 8.5Y has the previously unavailable CCB package that jacks it up to a higher price.

Typically yes that would be accurate.
But with Audi holding cars at ports there will be a growing back log... how much more time that adds is unknown. It for sure will be more than 2 months though.

The salesman that I am dealing with has stated that Audi Canada does not use the BIMM tracking app.

Amazing. I am smitten over the RS3 but the way BMW makes these cars look aggressive i tip my hat to them.

I couldn't find anything else, did you get anything for tracking your order? If it's to save on the cost of buying an Audi I don't care

VW price protecting through the end of May! Great call.

Audi on the other hand...not even gonna put another car on ships to ignore the situation altogether. I get that they have inventory on the ground already but bummer that models that weren't even available yet can't get delivered. Hope they update their stance but won't hold my breath.

    2025 RS3

Owner in Waiting is largely a waste of time. It’s often not in real time and doesn’t really give you any insight your sales person shouldn’t already be providing. If your person isn’t routinely checking your order and giving you a status, speak to their manager and simply switch salespeople. It’s a bare minimum level of service.

Higher end brands do allow for more real time tracking (Porsche is good), but the factories for Audi, nor their current infrastructure, allows for it. It’s not easy nor inexpensive to implement.

    I'm feeling exactly the same.

Like mentioned above, my order details also show that my order is currently on hold, which seems to correspond with the general 60 day hold that Audi has stated. Other than this, my build week is 23, which should be the first week of June.

All of this waiting is making me reconsider.... The upcoming M2 XDrive objectively seems like a better car than the RS3, in terms of performance and upgrade potential. I'm beginning to feel like I may as well just wait for that thing...

My RS3 is on the Siem Cicero which is expected in Halifax tomorrow then Davisville RI on April 20th. I'm guessing it will be held there for who knows how long...
Edit - looks like it's also heading to Freeport TX - probably more likely it's held there... that drop is scheduled for the 27th.

Interesting that they didn't hold it in Emden. It was loaded on April 8th.

Not jealous at all.... Lol. Interesting that your car was still shipped after Audi said they were not shipping cars. Probably already had it arranged.

A number of people on Facebook got notifications that their cars were in production this week ahead of their estimated build date. Glad to see my prediction that they're still at least making the cars was correct. Going to ask for an update on mine tomorrow

Audi said they were holding cars which can be done in the US also. They will likely hold the car at the US port. It began production March 31st and probably finished on the 2nd... which was before audi announced they were holding cars.

Not sure when the order went in. Sometime mid March probably.

Ah ok. You'll be living large if they restart deliveries and temporarily price protect. Keep us updated

I got the notification yesterday that my car went into production. This is after my dealer said I wasn't assigned a build date as of last week. My order was submitted on March 26

Very cool! My ordered was submitted on the 29th, but may not have been processed until Monday the 31st... so that puts me just under a week behind you. We'll see if I got an update somtime next week :)
