So this is the only thing I have found and it helped me do it the first time, but now for the life of me I cannot replicate it!

I saw a comment on YouTube that it was pretty disappointing, I guess a speaker upgrade would sort that out, but shouldn't be necessary on a car worth these $$$

I think it IS pumped in to a degree, you can select the "engine sound" in the Drive Select modes, something like Subdued, Present etc. The fact that people don't seem too sure if it is or isn't at least shows that it sounds ok regardless. From what I've seen in the pre facelift 8Y in OBD11, you can adjust the percentage of the Soundaktor so I'd say it's there to some degree. Personally, I'd be quite happy if it was fairly quiet in Comfort mode and rowdy in the performance modes.

Its not great. I'm coming from a GTI that had the base sound system and its about the same in quality. I expected more

Overall pretty happy with the car. Looks and sounds awesome. Fairly comfortable but I'm still adjusting. Can't speak for the go-fast bits yet. Waiting for break-in.
The capacitive steering wheel controls are atrocious. I've accidentally swiped the volume up/down so many times already. Is there a way to disable that and only use the actual button presses?
Handling seems good but tire limited currently. Randomly get sensors going off while driving aggressively - not sure if its lane keep or collision detection but its an audible beep - nothing shows up on the dash.
Is there a way to turn off lane keep while cruise control is active? I have it disabled while cruise is off but it automatically turns back on with cruise control active

Does anyone know how the pre-production RS3 that ran a good time on the Ring differs from NA production, if at all? I'm specifically curious about the OPF situation and the handling enhancements.

I had expected Audi to try to take back the official production lap record from the M2. Not so far?!

So the ship my car is on just landed at the port!! So exciting. Does anyone have a rough estimate of how long it takes now from port to dealership, clearing customs and getting on a truck or train, etc? Im in Florida and the port is in Jacksonville. Thanks!!

Audi did take back the record with a facelifted car last year, thanks to those handling enhancements: https://www.audi-mediacenter.com/en/...-segment-16057

The rules are a little loose about what counts as production given that the car was not yet available in any markets then - but it should mostly be pretty close to the production version, I would think? The car was a few months from launch in Europe at that point, so not much time left for additional changes.

Hard to say if this car had the OPF, but I would guess probably not? Definitely has the Trofeo Rs and the carbon ceramics too. Interestingly it still ran with the pre-facelift wheels, which aren't available in North America but you can still spec them in other markets.

The car also had Tropheo R's, not sure if the previous record had them or not but those are super sticky and I'm sure they contributed to the great time.

Took delivery last night, like a lot of others are saying the car definitely seems louder compared to the PFL I drive a few mo the ago. So far haven’t taken it above 3k RPM for break in. I’ve realized if you turn on ACC power and then hit the performance button on the wheel before starting it you get some small crackles and bangs but nothing major.

Awesome!! I'm hoping I can get away with some midpipes and leave the stock catback on there then.
Is the car RPM limited for x amount of miles, or are you just taking it easy?

Looking forward to my RS3 ordered in late 3/2025 and estimated to arrive 9/2025. Confirmed "no added import fee." Re. discussion of disabling Soundaktor, can't you just pull the fuse for it? Either pulling the fuse or coding it out is the second thing I will be doing. First I will code out locking/unlocking door sound (I think it's on by default in US version). I want to hear the engine/exhaust, I'll put up with tire noise, but have no interest in unnecessary sound augmentation or alerts.

SA reached out today. Car was loaded on the rail in Halifax on June 1st. He expects it to reach the dealership between June 18-25.

Unfortunately all of the new models are protected by SFD2 at the moment, no OBD coding is possible. Door alert is the first thing I'd turn off too.

Disappointing about the Sonos system then, will wait and see and judge for myself before doing anything

I think the LKA can be turned off by the button on the end of the indicator stalk, but have no practical experience with it yet, if that carries over between standard driving and cruise control etc. I'm hoping they can crack OBD / SFD2 as that's another thing I'll be changing (remember last setting).

That's a shame. Can a technician at the dealership code out the door locking alert? Might be worth asking before taking delivery. (When I bought my Cayman, the SA didn't think it could be done until he asked the head technician who did it for me.)

I assume that they can as they have the dealer tool to do it and access to the factory keycodes to unlock SFD2, question is, will they?

For those that have picked up their 25. Did you get any embroidered floor mats/all weather floor mats. I just noticed last night I just have plain black mats that look right out of a Honda civic.

    Grab an OBD11 https://obdeleven.com/
    or VCDS https://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/VCDS.php

    can code pretty much everything,

    1) reduce the sound of the Soundaktor (fake engine noise)
    2) adjust how locking the doors work - open / close sunroof and all windows same time etc
    3) adjust lane assist
    etc etc

The RS embroidered mats come with RS Design Package. The all weather mats are added accessory (I had my dealer throw them in).

Ahh that’s unfortunate, at least they don’t look to expensive so I’ll have to grab a set of at least the all weather ones.

Neither of those currently work with the facelifted A3/S3/RS3 due to SFD2. I believe VCDS (maybe OBDEleven as well?) is able to at least read the modules, but no changes can be made to them. Both OBDEleven and Ross-Tech have said they're working on it but there's no ETA as far as I know.

No Kyalami Green '25 RS3 yet for me.... but I am loving the plate my daughter and I came up with for it! Mainly for the "toxic" like color, and the skull and crossbones just goes with it so well.

Lol, mine just finished production last week. Hoping this nonsense doesn’t happen to me. Just waiting for it to be assigned a ship and make it over. My port is Freeport, TX though. I’m actually going on a month long backpacking trip throuh Asia starting in mid-August. Wondering how long they’d hold my car at the dealership if it comes while I’m gone before they say screw it and sell it to a different person 🥲

ya I haven't even looked at mine yet neither lol. It's been sitting at the factory for ages, and it wasn't until the Inventory Manager at the dealer contacted Audi Canada that it moved within a day or two after to be put on a train to Emden.
I am hoping to be on the SFL Composer which is entering the English channel now...

The great thing is, if timing goes right...I will have the car for about a week, before I head to California for a month lol. Pretty sure I will have the 'laziest RS3' on the forum. Sits parked for a majority of its life...

I'm very curious about the midpipes situations. It seems that the 2025 RS3 models are a bit louder than the PFL equipped with sport exhaust. I was wondering if changing the midpipes will be louder/raw sound increase kind of like it does on the 8V or it will be very similar to the actual 8Y 2022-2024.

As much as it sucks it does make me feel better that someone else has had a similar situation. Yours will have a shorter journey thankfully! And safe travels to California, it's a great state!

I can confirm 8Y valves seem to be a little more open at idle, however once you start to rev at all they close back down. I already ordered the 11 mode valve controller so hopefully get rid of that problem.

My car's been built and is now on its way to Emden! Hopefully it's smooth sailing to Canada at this point, but we'll see - timing has clearly been highly variable for everyone, so I wouldn't be surprised to see some delays. Dealer still thinks it might come as late as September.

However... seems that my dealership screwed up my order, somehow, and forgot to spec the black roof. It was on the bill of sale and all, not sure how it got missed. Not the end of the world, but definitely gonna be expecting some compensation to make up for it...

Mine was at Port Baltimore Monday... which is 22 miles from me. SO CLOSE! The dealership is 19 miles from the port, so I am assuming it will go by truck... and when it goes, it will literally be there within 30 minutes. The dealership is then a quick 43 minute drive which I am fairly certain I can do in 35 minutes or less :)

Just waiting on the call ;)

Says it left Australia today so hopefully I have it by next weekend, I’m wanting to eventually get a spare set of center console switches and wire in a dedicated button for the valve controller using the blank switch that would be for the auto start stop.

Wow, dynamic package with ceramics was supposed to come with the Trofeo Rs.

I didn’t get the dynamic package and also have the Bridgestones, which is disappointing enough - they are crap.

need some pics in this thread...
I like to hear that the new ones sound better to some degree.. I have an 8Y with midpipes and still wish it was a little more... I wonder how the new one with midpipes will sound....
they did help a little especially at start up and while shifting, it sounds really good when it's shifting high RPM with the straight through mid pipes.
