I haven't driven an 8Y to compare, only my 8V, but the chassis is so much improved I'd jump for it!

Yesterday the dealer installed my front plate. The 2025 has no bracket/base on the grill. Instead there are two dimples that indicate where to drill. There is a frame included with the car (in the trunk). It looks like the frame only is rare and some staff do not know how to attach the frame. My previous Audi had a bracket/base and no frame around the plate.

went to another dealer today and they had a kemora in stock.. they wanted me to buy it but Msrp is just so high to start, we did not make a deal. that being said, I have never seen that color in person and it's really nice. you can't tell from pics but in the sun it has some reddish type metallic. it was impressive and I did make them an offer, and they were pretty fair with their discount and price for my 24 but it was just starting way to high, it had every option they make.

Didn't seem as outlandish as I thought it might and the green with the black accents and carbon fiber is an amazing combo. It'll turn heads for sure but more in a "woah, what is that car" rather than an "what is that over the top abomination of a car" if that makes sense.

nice and congrats. both are sweet colors. I have not seen green in person still but I saw kemora up close in the sun yesterday... beautiful. I'm sure that green in the sun is beautiful as well, enjoy it and post some pics when you get it

NICE.. I was impressed with Kemora yesterday the first time I saw it in person and in the sun it was beautiful. maybe my eyes are going bad but up close it has a lot of metallic looking reddish type flakes. you can't really tell unless you're close up but the one I saw was exactly like yours same dark wheels etc.... they wanted me to take it home but it had options I didn't want and starting price was just too high for me at the moment. they pleaded with me to just spend more because I need ceramic brakes and built in nav LOL.... nonetheless it was gorgeous and I'm sure someone will buy it. enjoy, your car looks amazing!

After escalating to the general sales manager, the dealer finally agreed to put on the front license frame/bracket for me. However, similar to your experience, they were also unsure about where/how to attach the front frame, but finally figure it out..

One question for the experienced folks on this forum. I got ceramic tint on the windows from the dealer but they didn't tint the sunroof saying that it could potentially crack. Any advise/recommendations on tinting the sunroof on an RS3? The sunroof on its own doesn't seem to have any tint in it..

I love my 25 Kyalami. Best car I have ever owned. That 5 cylinder has a special place in my heart.

Will do. Kemora was my original #1 pick up until I saw a prefacelift Kyalami on the road one day and I was floored. Would've picked up one of these if I didn't have one ordered.

I'm about the same amount of time out. My ship is 2 days away from crossing the Panama canal. Then 7 days to San Diego and another week to catch a truck to my dealer. Thank God my dealer is only a state away, I don't think I could handle waiting for it get on a train.

Got some mods installed at 418kms already! Did the mid pipes, rear subframe inserts, and the dogbone mount inserts. Livened the feel and sound of the car. Stock felt very refined and quiet. It feels sportier now for sure.

It has factory tint but like many suv's it's only to block light not heat. i haven't tinted my rs3 sunroof yet as the car came tinted but I would like to. there is no damage it can really do.

Ive tinted every sunroof I've ever had with no issue including my wife's x3 about 2 weeks ago. there is no harm that tint can do to a sunroof 100%. every tint shop I've ever been to will do it, it's no different than tinting any other glass including the windshield

true but this is really not a typical grey to my eyes... it's almost blue looking to me.. it it was called kemora blue or something I wouldn't have known the difference.

meanwhile this one in route isn't going to last long. I got the sticker and I'm here staring at it LOL.... I would probably have to go there today or tomorrow latest and give them a deposit.

I really didn't want to sell my 24 just yet but as mentioned I know when I'm really ready in about 4-5 months there will be no rs3's anywhere in site and then I'll end up in something else LOL... this is my internal struggle.

also curious if any of you financed lately what rate did you get and from who? I will finance this one and I see attractive rates online but I know you never get that rate even with top tier credit which I have (850 credit score lol). they still find fine print to give a higher rate lol.

just got the sticker. It's a great spec and only has carbon, sport exhaust and black roof options. I would have ordered it pretty much like this.... set to arrive late this month, and now they want a deposit to hold it for me. it's decision making time now for real... I'm having a hard time finding any reason not to lol....

hahah.. and usually true but in all fairness work is slow right now and I don't "need" a new car... my 24 is mint and perfect...I just told them I pass... yes it was the right spec exactly and color but my only reason for wanting one now was fear of one not being available when i'm ready... which is not really a good enough reason (at least in my mind today). of course murphy's law will destroy me later and when I'm ready which will likely be around October/November, there will be no RS3's in sight LOL... if that happens than it's not meant to be and I move one to choice 2, 3 or 4 and call it a day. my back up choices as of today are (in no order), 1 year old rs5 (perfect option if can be found), m340 (new and cheaper, still great performance), m3 (bonkers and bad a$$ but very expensive nowadays), or new s5 (kind of boring however I did drive one this weekend and it was very impressive actually). I know none of these are an RS3 but they are very close behind in their own ways... m3 is probably too expensive but I have been eyeing down slightly pre owned rs5's and that could certainly satisfy me if I must get that next. I wouldn't mind something a little bigger/more smooth (If RS3's aren't available).

they kept pressuring me to come and give deposits on a car that isn't even here yet and I don't blame them I know they are limited production but that combined with not really being ready was enough to say no.

I'm having some issues with the radio. On FM stations, it will frequently skip and then start replaying like 10 seconds back. I would say this happens multiple times per hour, which is pretty annoying. I don't have this issue with XM radio though.

Has this happened to anyone else? I wonder if it has ever been an issue with the 8Y in general since I'm not sure they would have changed much. I have checked various screens for a software update for MMI, radio, etc. and everything seems updated.

by the way to further elaborate a little.. it seems many are poking fun at the new s5... and I'm NOT saying it's anything like an RS3 but I did drive one and although in the pics at first I hated it... in person the exterior, interior and way it drove all changed my mind a bit. it was fast (enough), but the ride quality was so good. it was smooth, no jerky tranny (even though it has the 7 sp DSG you can't tell) and the interior was very nice, comfy and felt 10 times bigger than the rs3. again, I'm not saying I want this car or that it compares to an RS3, just saying I went there to rule it out and it got ruled in somehow LOL. these are just backup plans if no RS3 is available when I need one.

these new platform vehicles are changing quite a bit. i.e. I had a 23 x3m40i not long ago and just got my wife a 25 x3 30i with m sport package and if I was blindfolded I would think they weren't even from the same manufacturer. the new x3 (albiet controversial looks) just drives so nice... it's definitely bigger and not as agile or nimble (same as the s5) but it makes up for that in ride quality.

not to send this too far off topic as I have a thread about it already but this whole business of having to fight to get an RS3 really turned me off a bit.. .and it's annoying and upsetting that when I will be ready for a new one.....that it probably won't be an option is discouraging to say the least. It's a great car but man....

also for me, I live in S.Fla and we have not hills, mountains, curvy roads or anything of the sort so my priority is straight line performance and highway/city driving. the rs3 is kind of wasted here as there is no where to really drive it to exploit its amazing handling and agility. I'm just as happy in an overweight boat so long as it looks good, sounds good, and is fast. I'm sure I'm the minority here in the rs3 world lol

what might be the ultimate compromise is the RS5 though. I see 1-2 year old ones with low mileage are right in the same price range as a new rs3, albeit they seem limited too but figure if I start looking now, I should find one in a few months that meets all the criteria. seems like it's a great car and has the power/speed of the rs3, great handling, and the additional space/comfort...

Believe this is something to do with the FM enhanced data streaming function that some stations support. There is an option to turn it off, but can't recall exactly where. No issues like this in my 24 as I have it turned off.

Right! Although I don't think it has the "Dynamic Plus Package" and it's priced as if it had it. And I'm wrong, it's $76k, plus a $1k doc fee.
