Who will be out first; the facelifted RS3 or the ECU tune by one of the bigger Tuners?? My money is the tune.

So apparently you can test drive the new rs3 in Toronto now lol, it seems theres a red one too at the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto right now
The progressive red is growing on me. All the videos I've seen of a progressive red RS3 look amazing. I need to see one in person, but it seems like a deep shade of red and not one that is more orange/red.

Same, same, same. I really was set on Kyalami as my first choice, Kemora as my second. A lot of that has to do with those being RS exclusive colors . But after seeing Progressive Red I keep getting tempted. It looks so good!

Here's a great vid for those of you considering the RS3 in red. Gorgeous.

Not sure yet, I live pretty close to Unitronic headquarters and I gave them a heads-up so I might bring it there once I get mine so they can have a look to see if it's the same ECU as the 8Y

I used to not care about flashier colors like red and blue but it seems that after owning many white, black and grey cars the red really got to me hahaha ! Also progressive red is offered on many other audis if you have a look at them it is quite red-ish without any hint of orange like the catalunya red that was offered on the 8V

I'm the same. I tend to default to black and grey. Initially, I thought of Kemora, but I like red. However, if we get Ascari Blue in the US, that will be a strong contender.

Carbon fiber package really pops with the red.

I think I've seen these cars in person in every color except kemora at this point. I feel like they were made to be blue or red.

I’m torn on the Arkona White. On one hand I love the stark contrast between the white body color and the black accents/carbon fiber. Especially with black/dark wheels. It looks so clean, also kind of like a Stormtrooper (Star Wars nerd). On the other hand, white is simply a boring color.

Yeah red looks really nice, and I don't normally like red cars.
Blue though I think takes the cake.

If my gf's fav color wasn't red I think that would've been my pick, looks great ! I have many cars and this is one I would lend to my gf from time to time so I decided to pick red for her

I wish they had the factory option to go black with the newer wheels like in those pics. I saw the post of that car on IG and they said they painted the wheels. Bummer because I think they look amazing blacked out like that rather than the gunmetal grey.

I mean getting them powder coated gloss black yields a really good result and it isn't crazy expensive. You should do it.

I was speaking to a friend of mine out West and interestingly he has been told by some dealers that they have asked for 15 allocations (but didn't expect at all that they would get that number) and now are finding out they have 2-3 for the year. Seems like pandemic and harness production times aren't gone yet LOL. One sales person told him he would likely have a 6 year wait for one..that's one of the more comical sales person comments I have ever heard (I guess props he can at least do simple math) For Canada at least it appears they are coming but in very, very limited numbers. I am sure they will be on the market quickly upon landing for well over MSRP.

"...6 year wait" so will they discount the 2025 model since they are selling it in 2031, and likely the new RS3 actually flies by then?

Beautiful color. I prefer the lighter wheels. While black is very nice, I prefer a polished or matte to show off the wheel design.

So I visited the two main dealerships in my area. Both told me they are not taking deposits and instead just taking "interested" people's names. When I asked how many were on the list neither would give me a straight answer and said they won't know who's serious until they start calling through the list - and they won't start calling through the list until they know more about timing and how many allocations they are getting.

One of the two dealerships told me they only get like a couple of these a years...

Should I start calling around out of state dealerships? This is reminding me of when I bought my 718 Spyder. I ended up having to pay a car broker to find me an allocation out of CA (I'm in the mid west)...

    MrFunk should read the thread.

If anyone wants/needs a car this year, buy a different car.

I'm well aware of it's availability.
I'm not new to buying vehicles.

    Those are 2 honorable dealerships.

IanCH is right. You should re read the thread in its entirety, and digest the reality. There is no info to know. There is no info to be had. The sellers don’t know because audi hasn’t told them. It’s no more complex than that.

You can call till you’re blue in the face. You’re going to get either the above same responses, or the bs artists will be happy to take your money, give you nonsense timetables when reality is, they are as clueless as anyone else.

    That’s reality.

Things are so different between Canada and the US, it's like they know we missed out on 4 years of the 8Y so they know people here are eager to get their hands on the 8.5Y
I've heard some of the biggest dealers in Ontario already hit the triple digit of people on the waitlist...

let me shed some light on how things are for me because reading some of the replies reminds me of where my mindset was before I came to the reality that it's likely this shiznit ain't happening until at least fall. Now if it does happen in March where orders open up, then fantastic. I'll be a happy clam for all. But listen to RMode and others here who are saying pump the brakes on things. I was skeptical, too. I thought we would have this car by now. Audi unveiled it in AUGUST 2024 for the love of Jesus. But with no car, no order guide yet, and no pricing in the US (even dealers who went to the company outing last week were kept in the dark) you either wait or get something else. If I knew for sure the RS3 had a release date I would have waited and not pulled the trigger on an M3. But if anyone hears something different, please post!!

Yeah I hear you, there's nothing concrete and dealers are all over the place scrambling for little info they can get and desperately trying to keep their customers interested before they fall out and just end up going to another brand or car. I am so glad we have our order guide/pricing/etc. up here in Canada, the wait in the dark would've probably driven me nuts

I think that with Audi kinda rebranding in other parts of the world, focus on releasing their refreshed bread and butter models first, the rethinking of going all EV, and the threat of tarrifs and other geo-political stuff truly has thrown the release of the RS3 in the states to the back pile.

Totally, they have bigger issues on hand to tackle that could affect the future of the brand so a more niche car like the rs3 is not a priority

I have a really good and long term relationship with this dealership and I'm friends with some of the executives of the group whom owns that dealership so I'm in a really good place. I also have many cars and service them at different dealerships owned by the same group so I get very preferential treatment

I also have many cars and service them at different dealerships owned by the same group so I get very preferential treatment
That definitely won't hurt you works well in the Porsche world as I know first hand (ie. having allocations taken away) although I recently was offered a Spyder RS allocation..so they must be desperate a bit now.

I also had an Eastern Audi dealer reach out with an unsold, unchangeable RS3 allocation. They mentioned May delivery, although others have mentioned more likely July delivery. Also seems like there might be a 2nd round of allocations and cars being delivered late Fall. I cannot imagine the long list at Toronto dealers...very curious to see the "used" market for first landed RS3's..$99k RS3 anyone? (keep away the luxury tax)
