Wow, dynamic package with ceramics was supposed to come with the Trofeo Rs.

I didn’t get the dynamic package and also have the Bridgestones, which is disappointing enough - they are crap.

I wonder if my dealer had them swapped or something… not sure why, I want them. Was never mentioned at all before I just assumed they’d give me the car how it came and not try to choose cheaper tires for me

I was going to say... I would definitely inquire about why you didn't get them and to maybe confirm it with Corporate. Maybe they made a mistake and you'll get them (and keep these too).

Dynamic Package is "supposed" to come with Pirelli "P Zero R" and not Trofeo R. As far as I know, there will be no Trofeo R's fitted at the factory for the RS3 in North America.

Carbon package? Sales person at my dealer told me:

“Sure thing the Carbon package deletes the Ultra high Performance summer tires with 19" 10 cross-spoke design wheels dark gray matte finish summer tires”

Not sure why adding carbon would result in them putting worse tires on instead…

Sounds like the Bridgestone Potenza Sport is considered one of the two C-compounds? Can anyone confirm what standard summer tire they got without the Dynamic Package?

I've seen a couple Canadian cars without the Dynamic package or carbon package and both had the Potenza Sports on them. Haven't seen any with the Dynamic package to compare, however.

EDIT: Took a quick glance at some delivery photos on Reddit, and this North American car with both the Dynamic package & the carbon package appears to have the P Zero R tires... so I think something has gone wrong with your particular car, either at the factory or the dealer: https://www.reddit.com/r/Audi/commen...nded/#lightbox

My car's been built and is now on its way to Emden! Hopefully it's smooth sailing to Canada at this point, but we'll see - timing has clearly been highly variable for everyone, so I wouldn't be surprised to see some delays. Dealer still thinks it might come as late as September.

However... seems that my dealership screwed up my order, somehow, and forgot to spec the black roof. It was on the bill of sale and all, not sure how it got missed. Not the end of the world, but definitely gonna be expecting some compensation to make up for it...

Good chance you will see it in July. Currently passing France and hoping it will be in Emden over the weekend to start loading. It's a window anyway.

According to the TireRack, both Potenza Sport and P Zero R are "maximum performance summer" tires. I would say we're going to see either or on Dynamic Package equipped cars. The question is what tires are coming on standard non-Dynamic equipped cars?

Ah, yeah when I had checked the shipping schedule I assumed my car left the factory too late for the SFL Composer - but this particular delay might actually help me out! I'll check in with the dealer next week to see if my car made it on or if I'm waiting for the Future Way near the end of the month. July does seem more likely to me given the shipping schedule, but I know some people have been unlucky enough to have cars sit in Emden for a while... so I don't wanna get my hopes up too much until it's loaded onto a boat.

I ordered it through Audi KW actually, so you might be familiar with them. The process has mostly been pretty smooth, especially considering I'm a first-time customer for them... just hope they're gracious about their screw-up and can make it right for me. Gonna get on the phone with them today and see what they say.

I am certain the dealer did not swap anything. It's not worth their time and they have no incentive to do so.

I think you're right. I don't have Dynamic package and have the Bridgestone Potenza Sports. Part of the reason (aside from cost) I avoided the dynamic package was I didn't want the Trofeos, as it seemed too aggressive for daily in the rain, but like you have pointed out it's probably the new P Zero R's that come with it. Still, I wonder how gj314 ended up with the Bridgestones then.

Admittedly, I need more seat time with the Bridgestones before I can properly rate them. My initial experiences thus far have just been a little disappointing relative to having Michelin Pilot Spot 4s on other cars.

It's the same tires the PFL had. You'd get either pirelli p zeros (with no R I think) or bridgestone potenzas. I don't think there was any rhyme or reason for what you get. Some people get pirellis, some people get bridgestones. I took delivery of my car with the bridgestones when temps were in the 30s and it was raining, snowing, and hailing.

The pirellis get bubbles on the sidewall easily. The older ones that came on my mk6 gti were the loudest tires I've ever had. Given the options I'd rather have the bridgestones. I have no idea if the newer p zero R's are any better.

You're barely getting 10-12k out of either set probably anyway, and way less if you drive the car hard a lot.

I can't remember what the dynamic pack came with or if it came with something different.

Had a total of 6 RS3's with various specs, both options of tires, had to swap out tires almost daily due to the amount of use we were putting the cars through but they were able to go lap after lap of non-stop use.

I was there Tuesday, was a great experience for sure. Having a 8V, the 8.5Y turns in so much better with the RS Torque Splitter it's making me want one more and more.

Was playing Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 last night and flew to Emden to try and locate my car 😂 I'm not obsessed at all lol

Fun fact: the game uses real-time vessel info so you can literally track vessels through the game 😅

Yeah the still image doesn't do it justice it's incredible and plays in 4K. The game streams the whole planet. It's a 1:1 recreation of Earth so you can fly over your home, real time weather and everything. Sadly not good enough to find my RS3 in Germany 😂

Yup. Same with my M3. Came in to Baltimore, but then went to Brunswick GA where it was off loaded and sent to the dealer in Alabama. Didn't know there were live cams or I'd be glued to the screen! Lol

I’ve personally had good luck with some of the water based stuff, like Optimum and recently Perl (though it’s stupidly expensive, the finish is very natural, not shiny, and makes for a nice engine bay/trim dressing too). Doesn’t give the out and our life that the silicone stuff does, but I haven’t had any dry cracked tires in years and years, and some stuff sits outside nearly all the time.

Been really enjoying carpro darkside but I think its important not to overdo it with tire dressing in general, both in each application and the frequency of it. Cleaning your tires well is an important step that is frequently overlooked.
