This is interesting. Unlike some car enthusiasts who insist on de-badging their cars with the thought that "those who know, know," you guys seem very invested in proper and consistent badging. I'm not criticizing this, but I wonder if any RS owners de-badge in the way that some BMW M owners do.

There's a time and place for the clean, de-badged look. But once you graduate the to the full-fat RS or M car, etc., the badge becomes a point of pride. In Audi's case, the RS badging and placement has been iconic and part of the brand's heritage for years. The recent updates and removal from the front, along with the mismatched old and new logos makes it all feel half-assed and phoned in imo. Glad to have a 24 with the last set of proper RS badging.

    Good stuff.
So let me ask you and others... my M3 came with PZeros * summer rubber and I plan to replace them with Continental AWUHP tires for the cold months. Can I store the Pzeros in the shed thats out of the weather but it's not heated?

Any reviews from those who've taken delivery? Especially interested in first time RS3 owners.
Anyone put mid pipes in yet etc?

Just got the vessel that my RS3 is on! I was told ETA of July 2 in Baltimore but when I looked it up it shows ETA of June 22!

Yeah same... It will be interesting to compare it to my B8 S4. I'm sure they each have very different personalities.

Last winter I had been storing summer Michelin PS4 tires/wheels in my unheated and uninsulated garage as I had always done. That is, until one week when it was forecasted to be in the single digits (Farenheit) for several nights in a row. At that point, just to be on the safe side I moved them into my living room where they spent the rest of the winter. You will probably be okay keeping summer rubber in an unheated shed. Many people, including myself in the past, don't take more precautions than that. However, I'd rather not find out the hard (catastrophic) way that my tires are damaged when that's easily preventable. It also depends on your use. If you are tracking the car with those tires, I would definitely not take a chance. But, why take a chance anyway?

Very cool. Love when dealers get the excitement and do small things like this. Congrats!

I e had mine about a week now. Still in the break in period so have t really gotten to push it at all. Coming from my GLI it’s a whole world of difference, I was afraid I would be disappointed with interior quality for the price but I actually haven’t really noticed anything. Drive ability wise the only think I have noticed is the center console locking mechanism is not as strong as my GLI was I’m so I find myself accidentally pushing it back a lot more often.

Is that due to personal reasons or the dealership? Just curious…it’s going to be hard for me to wait when I know it’s at the dealer!

That's how I think my pick up is going to be... Flights from Nashville to Chicago are around $300 if you want them rather quickly, like a few days out. But 2+ weeks out and they are under $75. Plus I told my friend i'd pay for his ticket if he flew up with me to get the RS3. So I don't mind waiting an extra week, it's been 12 since I ordered the RS3 and MONTHS of anticipation before ordering. A week or two isn't going to kill me, but I probably won't sleep that well!

The dealership hasn't told me yet their schedule actually... I'm just assuming it will be next week.

Does anyone know why the Canadian version doesn’t have a sport exhaust option like the US version? Does the Canadian version have OPF like Europe?

No we get it base, it's not an optional extra.
My car is supposed to arrive at the dealership this week, hoping there is no delays

The sport exhaust is standard on Canadian cars. Don’t believe that’s related to OPF as it’s offered in European markets too.

Thank you! I was previously on a waitlist (made deposit in 2023) but got cold feet... now I'm seeing them at dealers unsold and getting tempted again. May buy one tomorrow but the rational and financial side of me is telling me no!

The financial side of me had a really hard time with buying a new car. Especially one this expensive. But in the end I was able to afford it and I told myself this is what I had been saving up for since I graduated college.

Porsche had last used the RS badge in 1991, so it was suggested for Audi's 1994 RS2. I'm a Porsche guy first, but got priced out long ago. That badge does mean something.

I've got a few items I plan on doing off the bat.

    Mid pipes
    Matrix Headlights activation
    ppf and tint of course

spacers? Those wheels look pretty tucked in... would spacers look odd on an otherwise stock ride height?

Where do you plan to go for the matrix headlights?

I’m also planning something similar. Mid pipes, ceramic tint, ceramic coating, rear badge replace, and center console replace with that CarbonFabrik piece. Want to do PPF but it’s tough to stomach the cost. Maybe full front. Depending on how the car sounds with the OEM sports exhaust + the catless mids, I’ll look into doing some sort of catback exhaust towards the end of year/beginning or 2026.

Just put the this exhaust on my 24 and i can confirm it is amazing. Definitely worth it. Has a deeper tone than the other exhausts. The others sound very tinny/can rattling.

Where did you purchase it from? And does it use factory valves or a special separate remote control?

I ordered directly from their website. I bought a valvetronic valve controller but they offer the option to still use your factory valves like oem.

I have owned 2 RS3 8V and 2 B9 RS5's and can say they are VERY evenly matched. The only differences... Space. In the RS5 you have tons of space. In the RS3 you cannot even fit a moderately sized box in the back seat. The RS5 always felt in the correct gear in Sport mode. The RS3 with the 7 speed always felt in the wrong gear for any situation. (In sport mode) in regular dive it was fine.

I hated the manual seats, the vents, and not having homelink in my 8V. They fixed all of that in the 8Y.

While many of you enjoy your cars (or get ready to enjoy them very soon) I'm back on the vessel tracking grind. Daisy Leader is now heading towards Emden, and Equuleus Leader heads there by Friday, both scheduled to arrive in San Diego on the same day, July 16th. Excited to watch them race across the ocean to see who gets here first.

My car's been in the German elements at Emden port for 2 months now, wish me luck that my personal hell comes to end this week.
