    Fault codes after carbon cleaning

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I just finished a carbon clean, as well as a lot of other things. I have a few codes now present:

P10A400 regulating flap intake air, mechanical malfunction

P10A600 potentiometer regulating flap, signal too low

P10A700 adaptation for regulating flap, soiled

Is this possible when you install the manifold with the flaps in the wrong position? I mean wrong position as in flaps may be on the wrong side of the dividers. I believe I had it right the first time, but removed bank 2 manifold again to plug in the vacuum line and electrical connector. I do not remember if I manually put the flaps in the correct position when I installed it the second time.

Is it possible I created an electrical issue somehow?

I just got this car a couple weeks ago. Usually pretty good with cars but this Audi stuff is a little over my head sometimes. Thanks for any help.

I forgot mention...the 4 pin plug on the supercharger next to the throttle body, the one right on top that has "continental" cast onto it...I looked everywhere but don't see a connector that goes to it...I can't remember, is there normally a connector that goes to this?

Are you referring to this plug?

The code is for the by pass valve sitting right on top of the supercharger. There is a short 4 pin that plugs into this. You either didn’t plug it in all the way or damaged the wires for the connector. Look around the connector is there and yes should be plugged in.

No it's the bypass valve on top of the supercharger

I guess I've left the wires for it buried under the supercharger. I need to pull it off anyway to check the position of the intake flaps..this is so frustrating

The very first time I pulled my blower I replace my oil filter housing and left the small screw out that holds the pcv lines to the valve. Had to take it all back apart. Over the years the ve had the blower off four times for various work. It gets very quick and straightforward after a couple times. Don’t feel bad. Codes after carbon cleanup is one of the most common threads on this forum. Take your time and verify every step next time. It’s not difficult at all but easy to make small mistakes that cause you to have to do it again.

Thanks, nill. Makes me feel a little better about it. I have an automotive degree and was a shop manager/service technician for a good while. You can imagine how bad this hurts my ego..😂 I would never have a car like this if it wasn't so satisfying to drive...anyway, I've ordered three new injector seal kits cause I plan to take off the bank 2 manifold to put the flaps in the correct position, and I honestly just don't like how the combustion seals looked when I removed them the first time to hook up the vacuum line that I forgot. also, I found the wiring for the bypass valve, I definitely buried under the SC. Also I am now getting a code for purge flow. Everything looks good and well with the N80, just the usual loud ticking. Idk what to do with it.

Just wanna say how grateful I am for this community and all the help and support that's available. I've rediscovered my love for cars with this Audi. I hope to stick around and be of service like so many of you are.
