Hello. Audi Q7 3.0 tfsi 4L, 145k km (90k miles).
More than often acceleration hesitation constitutes from 0.5 - 1 sec when pressing gas to the floow. (With kick down pretty much the same.)
It was worse before clearing throttle body. Mechanics said it was dirty with oil.
However at mild warm temperatures sometime it feels great. I don't even feel the weight of the car and its engine feels as ever-ready for any slight whim.
In these best days the car accelerates as a beast (in lieu of usual making more roaring noise with engine than accelerating), reacts on any slight pedal press, and generally feels like a sporty sedan (that's when I love the car).
Vehicle suffers from oil gluttony, and I was scared by some garage that it's oil rings needing replacement prob due to carbonization (which is extremely expensive).
But than why sometimes it behaves great like it is a feather, while other times you really feel the car's weight during acceleration.
I bought it used and never experienced acceleration in 7+ seconds to 100km (60miles). Seems like it takes 10+ seconds. Probably due to wear and simply because it's not new anymore.
1. What ways are there for oil to get on a throttle body?
2. What could cause such different "moods" on a car?
