Plug & Play LIN to CAN MFSW Converter - for B9,8V.5,8Y,8S,R8 Steering Wheel Swaps

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    • Enables volume control, backlight control, track forward/back, phone module voice command, & navigation voice guidance buttons on older cars (b6,b7,b8, pre-facelift 8v, 8j, first gen R8)
    • Converts the LIN BUS signal from the newer wheel's buttons to CAN BUS.
    • Completely plug & play, simply replaces the new steering wheel buttons' 4 pin cable. Remove the cable from the right button module's connector, connect the adapter harness, and plug into the airbag/clock spring harness.
    • No Re-pinning or soldering required (beyond what is needed for your airbag harness, depending on your platform)

Ships from the US. No need to source the other difficult to find adapter modules from Europe that run $150+

This chip came out about half the size of the others I've seen, mounts to the inside of the wheel with some double sided foam tape.

$90 Shipped in the USA (for now)

shoot me a PM with any inquiries regarding installation help, or other required parts for the swap, I can source used MFSW clock springs and steering wheel control modules for cheap if needed.

I’ve got plenty. I also have a couple steering wheels, including some older stuff that doesn't require a conversion module. got single stage and dual stage airbags for both of those as well.

Sweet. I sent you a PM.

After all these years I decided to finally buy parts and retrofit heated steering wheel for my q7 Tdi (4L). After looking at the ugly stock wheel and seeing this in ordered a 4M q7 wheel and bag.

I have to install the clock spring and steering column module first, figure out some coding, but then should be able to plug and play with your adapter.

    LMK how to buy!
