Maybe check Ebay UK or Germany. Not a lot of S6's sold in the N. America back then or double check cross compatibility. I am show compatible with 2002~2004 Passat's with the W8 enigne, probably also a fairly rare Passat combination. Showing part # 4B0614517F as the final, originally 4B0614517AB.
    2003 RS6 (6Spd)
    2013 RS5 (Headers, Aluminum DSG Flywheel,JHM Stg2, etc...)
    2013 S5 (034 Stg2 & TCU)
    1974 911 (3.6ltr)
    2006 CTTS

Thanks! Are there any other compatible variants, or where can I look?

Interesting, vcds says I have the e variant.

Look for the sticker or tag on the unit to be sure. Sometimes VCDS hardware part # doesn't match up but if you do have the 'E' variant it looks like it was superseded to the 'F' and further superseded to the 'AB'. https://www.ilcats.ru/audi/?function...81&language=en

This rebuild service might be a viable option, and you get a warranty from a well established vendor ... https://www.ebay.com/itm/11107354229...Bk9SR-Tq2MzcYw

Not sure if it was mentioned here yet, but I think the Passat W8 controller is compatible.
