DO NOT BUY from Modded Euros

I don't know what happened to this site, but they have turned into nothing more than a common scam business run by degenerates. Needed to post a PSA to save anyone from the trouble, headache and aggravation of having your money stolen from these people.

The crank pulley on my 3.0T broke a few weeks ago. I'm already Jackal Stage 1, so I figured I'd go Single Pulley instead of putting on a stock crank pulley. Seeing as I'm in CT, and Scammed Euros is in PA, I ordered a CTS pulley from them, assuming the shipping would be faster. Their site stated that it's in stock and ships in 3 days. Excellent.

Well, that was back on March 18th. After over a week of no updates, it was a constant struggle on my end to get someone from their "support" staff to give me a straight answer on when it would ship. I was told to "please wait for an email update". I finally asked for an order cancelation and refund on Friday April 5th. Took 3 hours to get a response, and the entire email read "let me put a cancelation request for your order. I will update you" WTF is even a cancelation request? you either cancel it or you don't.

As you can imagine, I was never updated. In fact I haven't been responded to at all since then. I put in a merchant dispute claim against them. I've sent them multiple emails a day. I've contacted them through PM on this site. I gave them a trash review on Google (along with a few others). I started commenting on their FB posts, which they are still actively posting, and my comments AND the comments of other people who are complaining about the same thing are being actively hidden. I have now started commenting on their instagram posts and plan to send them more PMs when they open. Looking on their site now, they even REMOVED the listing for the 187mm crank pulley kit I ordered from them.

Does anyone have a suggestion as to what I can possibly do now? Besides trashing them on every social media outlet I can find. Now I have to buy ANOTHER pulley kit from somewhere else since I'm getting completely screwed out of the one I already purchased.

What's sad is I know I'm not the only one dealing with this. Absolutely do not ever buy anything from this site ever. I hope the word gets spread. Let them shut down for good.

I'm working through some issues with them as well. I ordered some parts on May 2nd. I got an email May 8th from them stating there was a delay in shipping, and that I would receive another email when the parts would ship. Same day (May 8th), I received their marketing email about a current sale (which my parts were now being discounted). So I responded to the email about the delay, thanking them for the update, as well as requesting a credit on the now sale priced items.

The next day, I receive an email, about how my parts have now shipped. So I respond to that email, thanking them for the update, as well as requesting a credit on the parts. Mind you, each time I send an email, I get an automated response, stating someone will get back to me, and it always includes all previous questions back N forth. So in theory, a human is reading this, at some point? One would hope...?

Anyway, I get the parts. Another email is sent to me on May 10th, asking me how my experience has been. Well, since I still haven't received any responses to my previous two emails, I clicked on the "Bad, I'm unsatisfied" link in that email. I fill out the form, explaining the lack of response to my request for credit.

May 17th... I since there is not direct phone number, and I didn't feel like engaging their chat-bot on their website, I send a completely new email off to there customer service. The response I get on May 20th... "We can only price match our own sale within 7 days from placing the order. This order was placed May 02, 2024"

Cool... GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE Modded Euros. You just lost a customer.

Lol wow. So what you're saying is, they purposely ignored your emails so they wouldn't have to lose any more money by matching a sale price. It's amazing this company is still in business. A human was 100% reading your emails, they're just really crappy humans. They're seriously run by absolute scumbags. I'm surprised you actually got parts! I ordered the exact same part from a different company, and lo and behold they had no problem shipping it to me in 3 days. I ended up finally getting a refund, but only after I spammed them by copy+pasting the same email 20 times, and then the same message 20 more times from my work email and eventually mentioning a class action lawsuit.

I would suggest leaving them a trash review on Google and wherever else you can so others may not suffer the same fate.

Pretty much the same story here as it relates to having a horrible experience with Modded Euros. I ordered a cat back exhaust (that was allegedly in stock and ready to ship the same business day) in April. Didn't get shipping confirmation for several days, so I reached out to see if the shipping info would come from them or the manufacturer (assuming it may be drop shipped) and they quickly responded that they would check with the warehouse. They responded shortly thereafter with an apology saying that there is a delay on the manufacturers end but that they hoped to have an ETA in the next week or so.

There was no communication after that, and subsequent messages I sent went unanswered, so I contacted the manufacturer directly after 3+ weeks and they told me Modded Euros never submitted an order. Went back to Modded Euros to present my newly found information and they changed their tune to, "This order has couple of days lead time prior to shipping and sadly, there has been a delay in our warehouse". Although I was already suspicious and nervous that I was getting ripped off, that pretty much confirmed it. I demanded a refund, but when I got no response I just opened a Dispute with my credit card. So here I am almost 2 months later without an exhaust, but at least I was able to recover the money.

I should have looked up recent reviews before I ordered, but I had purchased an exhaust from them in 2016 without issue so I thought they were still a reputable site. Needless to say, this experience (and reading the experiences others are having) ensures I will never order from them again.

comparing your experience to mine, it sounds like they copy paste response emails when people start to complain about getting scammed. The warehouse email is exactly like the one I got lol that's impressive. Allegedly, people are still receiving some parts, like wheel spacers. But I feel like if you order an expensive enough part, they jus take the money and run. I hope they shut down.

I eventually got my credit on my sale items... but it was a struggle, to say the least.

I feel like these companies are just struggling, because they don't actually do anything but process orders. Its a tough business to be in, if you aren't developing a product or services. All you are doing is "slanging parts for Harry."

They obviously have some margin in their sales. That margin is to go towards salaries and other over head costs/expenses. If the company isn't managed well, you end up collecting money from Peter, just to pay Paul.

That's my gut feeling with Modded Euros.

I think you are spot on. Delaying orders to float some cash flow.

I went thru something similar except they wouldn't ship me the part nor would they issue a refund after 8+ weeks of them not doing anything for a part that their website showed ''instock'' lol.

I had to call my credit company for a reversal. Ofcourse they wanted proof that I was trying to communicate with them and they went dark, luckily my credit card company read the proof & they were able to refund me my money but no thanks to modded euros.

DO NOT BUY FROM MODDED EUROS!

You nailed it. Amongst those lines you have to consider that a ton of their usual “clientele’s” pockets had to have taken a hit within the past 3-4 years and that’s going to play a HUGE factor in the way that you move forward with your usual business tactics. Feel bad for people nowadays, I personally know of a few that went from 0.00% credit card debt to them having to floor the pedal on their credit cards and are now underwater that bankruptcy might just be the only option for ‘em! Come November, vOOOOte better! #MenLieWomenLieButNumbersWillNEVERPullSuchAThing #ItIsWhatItIsWhetherItHurtsLiberalsOrNot #DontVoteSolelyOutOfEgo

Welp… going through the same thing now with the cancellation request and all. I asked for a refund along with the cancellation and they ignored the refund part. Ive since sent numerous emails and gotten no response. It sucks because Ive bought many things from them in the past so I didn’t even think twice about it this time.
Def going to try to spread the word now. Luckily I only got scammed out of 80 bucks. Still sucks though 🤦🏽*♂️.

I never buy anything from any of these companies with a debit card. Always use a credit card. Way easier to get your money back. The thing that usually leads to these type of situations is terrible management and funds wasted on BS.

Already filed a claim with PayPal they stopped replying to my email and refused to cancel.

Edit: never got any shipping notification or update but my order arrived yesterday. Overall my experience wasn't as bad as I've seen from others, but some kind of actual update or response would have made me feel better.

I ordered some KW V1 from them on 8/23/24 and had no communication with them until I reached out at 1 month mark. General response of, let us reach out to the warehouse. 1 week has gone by and no response. I'm willing to wait a bit longer, but this is terrible. The only reason I went with them is because of a 5% Labor Day sale.

I had ordered a part from them. A week with no info while the other 3 companies I ordered from had parts arrived so I emailed ModdedEuro and received the "Let me check with the warehouse". Emailed them multiple times over the following week and a half with no response. After doing a Google search I found multiple stories like this. ModdedEuro is a scam company. Notified my bank and they started a dispute. They said it's common practice for scam companies to never respond to a dispute and that most people give the scammers too much time before they try to dispute the charge.

Still no response, so I decided to dispute the charge with Amex. I will update as things progress.

exactly what happened in my situation. Modded Euros only responds when you're trying to buy something from them, but for shipping updates, refunds, cancellations they stop responding lol.

After I contacted my credit card company, it took about 10 days to get my credit refund back.

I now purchase all my RS3 parts from: www.xlr8performance.com Highly recommend.

Any reason why you didn't order from CTS directly? I know they're in Canada but they ship really quickly and directly to you. Most shops these days don't keep a lot of product in stock and order from manufacturer once they have a order placed which in turn causes delays.

On the other hand, maybe they are just going through something on their end? Not making excuses for anyone or any shop.
