2.0t fsi Strange sound opinions pleaseee

Hey all 2008 a3 (BPY)

Just replaced my HPFP and now I get strange high pitch sound that starts at 3500rpm and up .

Cam follower and everything is good . Head is brand new has 35k miles on it .

Checked all the hoses and everything . Don?t see any tears or leaks all connections to hpfp seem snug .

If anyone has had a similar problem please voice in .

Car is IE stage 2 but I?ve never heard this sound until I just changed the pump .

Still boosting 15+ have 2 evap codes that were present before and now just did get a 2293 code . But the car seems to be running fine besides the noise .

The squeaky noise you're hearing might be because of the timing chain tensioner. Check it and other related parts for damage.
Also, check the exhaust system for leaks, as they can also make high-pitched sounds.
Since you've replaced the HPFP recently, make sure the fuel pressure and delivery are correct. You can use a fuel pressure gauge to check if the pump is working right and if fuel is getting to the injectors properly.

Noise is directly comming from the fuel pump for sure . Head was bought brand new fully loaded less than 30k miles . Tension and chain all that stuff is brand new.

The noise was not present an hour before I changed the pump and was driving the car.

Cam follower and all is good too .

The second the car goes over 4K rpm’s it makes a high pitch buzzing ringing sound . Very similar to the “flute sounds” that the 2.0t. Sounds like under boost . But the noise is there and very apparent . Also as soon as it goes back down under 4K when letting the revs come down the noise goes away
