    B9 S4 Beginner guide for tuning ?

Hello everyone, I am fairly new to the world of German sports cars and tuning. I picked up a b9 S4 recently and am looking forward to doing some bolt on modifications to it. The car i bought has an AFE Intake but i'm not sure if the car is tuned or not. Is there anyway to check if the car has been tuned, for free? I see that a lot of people are running massive intercoolers and i'd like to do this upgrade because I live in a warm climate and this should help with intake temps. Some questions I would like to hopefully get answered are; Do all Bolt on modifications require the vehicle to be tuned ? What does tuning on average cost? What are the differences between stage 1-3? What happens if you install parts but don't get the vehicle tuned? What are some reputable companies that provide tuning for Audis/B9S4'S? What should you look out for when purchasing a tune and what are some things/issues you could possibly run into?

Read through these forums and tons of you tube videos to watch.
These cars have a tiny intercooler from Audi so upgrading is a must. Lots of different options there.
Check ECS, or 034 for options.
As far as tuning goes there are also lots of different brands to choose from. Some push the limits and some give a good boost in power but have lots of safety features included.
Definitely consider a TCU flash when doing the ECU!
Maintenance is big for these car so make sure you go by the book for everything.
    Enjoy your new ride!
