Has anybody removed the flaps on the factory intake? Was wondering if it would allow more flow and why they are there in the first place.

This whole system is retarded. No hi-flow filter exists and that 180 degree elbow pipe into the throttle body, c’mon Audi.

I thought the BMC air filter was considered "hi-flow"? As for the inlet to the throttle body... if you are looking for an increase in supercharger sound (I can not personally say if it helped performance at all, but, I will vouch for the sound enhancement), the Euro-Roc inlet made a difference.

I just installed the Roc Euro inlet and you can definitely hear the AC whine a bit more than stock from inside the cabin. Just need someone to confirm is louder outside when I drive by

It is most definitely louder outside. It got even better when I installed the cts supercharger pulley. I have the apr stage 1 so just need to bring it in to get the stage 2 single pulley tune. I also left the supercharger plastic cover off when I did the pulley a couple days ago. I raced a hemi rt challenger last night and he told me he could hear it. I beat him until about 110mph he started to pull on me and i let off at 120mph. I have no tcu tune yet so can't use the full Rev yet either.

I forgot to add that I did remove the flap on the intake and capped the vacuum line. Not sure of any difference yet as last night was the first I drove it since that and the pulley addition. It's not a daily just our family car for hauling kids.

This was a roll from 3rd gear also. He did beat me off the line at a red light but couldn't go far due to traffic.

If you REALLY want to set your 4M up proper, check out the Garage Auto Sports (GAS) Titanium Intake! All I can say is BADA$$!!!! It is a full intake system that replaces the silencer, the bent and corrugated elbow, and opens the restrictive snorkel into the airbox. The silicone couplers and Titanium do not heatsoak like steel or plastic will. This combined with a BMC filter really makes the Q scream. The whine is intoxicating!!! A nice smooth 3.5" curve into the throttle body and a smooth transition into an 80mm TB upgrade, should you go stage 2+ with dual pulley.

Oh and make sure to check out the CREC clutch delete...I have had a couple fail and this eliminates that failure point. Even if you go stage 2 single pulley the higher speeds will take out the SC clutch. Jackal Motorsports is now tuning the 4M Q7 with great results from stage 1 all the way up to 2+ DP and TB upgrade. Makes our family haulers into Fun Hauler's A$$ers... Finally a dad can have fun driving to the mountains on vacation.

Not an AD, I'm just a believer in these products. This combo made the Q7 WAY more FUN to drive...and smoking chargers, and camaros is really satisfying...SLEEPER

This is just what I have been looking for to get some more S/C whine. I just purchased a 4M Q7 and options are limited. Thanks for this info!
