    Wonder where Jackal went?
I posted here, sent a PM and even sent these questions on their website with there "contact us" portion. I've got no reply from any of this. HMMMM? Wonder if they'd answer the phone that I need to call to get some answers?

Hi Tony and fellow 4M Q7 enthusiasts!

I am just about ready to pull the trigger on purchasing this promising tuning software, and have acquired all the hardware bolt-on's required to go all the way up to Stage 2+... I look forward to working my way up through the tunes and feeling the incremental boost in power at each stage. However, I do have a question which I hope can be answered before I make my purchase:

Do all stages offer both 91 and 93 octane options? I have read that some folks are running this software on 91 octane, but it is not clear if 91 is available for all stages? Can anyone confirm?

Many thanks and safe driving all!

Hi, if my memory serves me right it has two tunes for 91 and 93. It's raining cats and dogs outside today but when it stops I can hookup laptop and check for you. I'm running 93tune with supercharger pulley, it runs very good.

I suggest reaching out to Matt at Jackal via their website. He's pretty responsive (at least from my interactions) and can get you a definitive answer.

Flashed my wife's 2017 Q7, 91 stage 1 ECU and the TCU, back in May. Haven't been super happy with the TCU tune, you gotta gotta give it the beans to get it to downshift at all - and using cruise control it'll lose speed just cruising. Just checked and there's an updated ECU tune from 8/26 that I'm going to throw on there today, and go back to stock on the TCU to see if it behaves better. If I have the time I might try the updated TCU tune, dated 8/18.

I've got new plugs and the BMC filter in the garage I've been too lazy to swap. Deciding if I want to get an upper pulley at some point and then go full stage 2 and hopefully that'll allow the TCU tune to perform as expected. Ran a DP EPL stage 2 ECU/TCU tune on my '15 S4 and really loved it, would be rad to have similar levels of torque on tap with this heavy beast...

Reading back on the E85 talk, and its something I'd love to do if there was a flex option. Having to manually switch tunes won't fly for what is essentially a daily family hauler. Trying to keep this thing from going to empty on corn would be quite the challenge, so it would just be for fun weekend romps whenever I'm near a pump.

True flex on a non flex car would not work without a sensor talking to the ECU to initiate the map switch.

Are you in 'S' mode or only in 'D'? I've been running stage 1 for a couple months now and it shifts noticeably better and more aggressively in 'S' than it did stock. It's still pretty slow to downshift in 'D', but I just don't use that.

I flashed the car in June, stage 2 with upper pulley did fresh plugs ,BMC filter and Rock euro intake all at the same time , very happy with the tune , enjoying added torque in lower rpm and that supercharger engaugement jerk is gone , I just drove from Florida to California and big issue i have is that car refuses to downshift when using cruise control going uphills , i had it set at 80 mph and the car just lugs and looses speed all the way down to 70 in D or S setting ,i tried Uuto/Dynamic/comfort made no difference , i had to always manually downshift it for it to return to my set CC speed , its very annoying and bad for the engine , i dint experience it untill this road trip because we have zero hills in Floridas, was told by Jackal to flash to latest tune wich i did right before road trip or to flash back to stock, anyone else have issies with TCU tune where car just doesnt downshit going uphill while using CC ? And another note I flashed the car to 91 octane from 93 but the car feels like i got stage 3+ lol ,Q7 just loves this cool non humid air and drives so much better than nin Florida it feels like i adeed 70-80hp worth of mods when all it is is better weather , i had same experience with my f90 m5 , fastest i did 100-200 run in florida was low7s but i California with worse 91 fuel was 5.9 seconds , all because of cool dry air.

How you doing AMAX launch on 2017 q7?

2017 Q7 3.0t Prestige. Second month on Jackal stage 2/93, GAS gripped single pulley, BMC filter. Car is flying, tranny so smooth, incredible acceleration. No regrets at all. Would do it again, again and again if asked.
Thinking about putting GAS titanium intake. Is it worthy? Any one can see advantage in acceleration? Car is making more noise? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Our intake is the only full 3.5" option on the market, and is a full intake, not just a muffler delete. The titanium construction means more supercharger noise, without being intrusive. The big reason that we went with a full 3.5" construction is that when paired with our 84mm CREC throttle body upgrade, you have the highest flowing intake setup physically possible (which is also supported by Jackal of course). Our 4M intake is a great option for stock TB setups, and especially for people who will be wanting to upgrade in the future! Lots of members on here who are already running this setup can hopefully chime in with their own personal experiences

I installed the GAS intake a few weeks before dropping in a BMC filter, and just the intake alone unlocked a good amount of supercharger whine. The BMC added a little bit more, and then when I Jackal tuned my rig up to Stage 2+ dual-pulley, this made another big jump in supercharger whine. If noise is what you're after, the GAS intake does a good job, but I went ahead with it primarily for eventual power gains when I muscle up the funds to pair it with an 84mm throttle body upgrade as explained above by Bill from Garage Auto Sports. Jackal has a tune tailored for this extra airflow, which I believe is really only when you'd see the performance benefits of this intake.

    Overall, I highly recommend it!

Any plans for a flex fuel tune? Would love to throw some E85 in the tank from time to time
