Auto Crank Conversion Pilot Bearing Adapter
Allows you to use your tiptronic crankshaft when swapping to a 5 or 6 speed transaxle. New OEM pilot bearing is already installed.
No machining, grinding, or material removal required. Extract the torque converter pilot bushing and press this custom part in place. No more difficult than replacing a regular pilot bearing.
Installation instructions available upon request. If you are unsure how to remove the old torque convertor bushing from the crankshaft, please let me know. I can provide you with a simple tool to extract it for $7.50 when you purchase the adapter.
FAQ
What transmissions will this work with? 01E, 02A, 02X, 01X... if it came in a B5/B6/B7 then this fits.
Do I have to machine my crank for this to fit? No, the crank does not need have any material removed
What bearing does this use? This uses the OE bearing part# 056-105-313c.
Do you sell a bushing to convert a manual style crank to an automatic? No.
Does this work on my VW engine? The only VW application is the Passat 1.8t that were mated to 4Motion/Tiptronic
