    Confused

    HI all,
I am a former corvette owner, so am familiar with different generations, IE c-1, C-4, C-8 etc. However I am a loss here. The corvette forum provides a guide for this, but I have not found one here. I am looking at a 2005 allroads 2.7T and am trying to figure out which sub-forums apply.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    BigLou

The C5 A6 was introduced MY98. This included the normal sedan and avant (wagon) bodies. This was produced through MY05, the same MY when the C6 A6 was introduced.

The "allroad", a lifted soft-road version of the C5 A6 avant, was first introduced in MY00. This was produced through MY05. There was no MY06 allroad. The C6 A6 based allroad started in MY07.

Starting with MY10, there would also be an A4 allroad. So using "allroad" without clarifying A6 allroad or A4 allroad, regardless that prior to the A4 allroad there was only "allroad", will only cause confusing in this day and age.

In the US market, the C5 A6 based "allroad quattro" was sold MY01 through MY05, with the 250hp/258tq 2.7T V6 or the 300hp/380tq 4.2L V8 (MY03-MY05). Appears the 2.7T had 6MT or 5AT options, the 4.2L only had the 5AT. The drivetrain configs are basically the same as the C5 A6 sedan sold here. The normal avant here only had the naturally aspirated V6 engine.

Some docs on the old US C5 A6 allroad here:
