Upgraded HPFP & DI Injectors - Nostrum HP

For those of us chasing big power, I think we have tried them all. Autotech, VIS, 034. For me. No luck with any of them. Under boost, all ended up failing and leaking down causing a huge drop in rail pressure at the worst time.

Luckily, the safeties in the tune kicked in and protected the motor.

I’ve just ordered the Nostrum HP upgraded HPFP. It should ship this coming week, hope to install it before the snow flies so I can confirm that it works very well and resolves the rail pressure drop under boost.

It’s capable of 200bar and over 30% flow increase over stock. So really looking forward to getting this installed. I’ll also be putting the DBV2 -6AN fitted upgraded cap on it as well.

I’ve also ordered Nostrum HP’s upgraded DI Injectors. These are supposed to flow more than anything else on the market, including the Mabotech DI injectors (I’ve been running Mabotech’s for a few years)

I can’t wait to get this setup installed and get WPT Tuning to get it dialed in.

I’ve been chasing fueling issues all summer. This should be the last of my problems to be sorted out so we can actually start tuning this properly and bringing the boost back in.

Someone retrofitted an OEM Gen.3 EA888 HPFP on a Gen.2 engine which has the same maximum operation of 2900psi as the Nostrum HPFP. Obviously this is from the transverse EA888s from the photos but I wonder if we could probably do the same for the A4's longitude Gen.2 EA888 since there are aftermarket HPFP options for the Gen.3 (034 and APR idk if there are others) that could operate up to 3480psi.

I was talking with Tyler (WPT) today about the tuning needed for my build related to the new HPFP and the DI Injectors. It sounds like at this time, we don't need to go past 200bar, as that should be ample headroom for the DI injector options that currently exist. I'm running what seems to rare Mabotech upgraded DI Injectors. (hear others are not having good results as of late, mine are like 3 years old). I'm swapping my Mabotech injectors for the matched set that I just got from Nostrum. The max injector pressure is 200bar for theirs, so I doubt that anything else out there that will work in our motor would require higher pressure, more flow is one thing, but I doubt we will see higher pressure needs. I'm not a tuner, so I will leave that conversation for the experts. I can only comment on my experiences and what I have been learning on this journey.
