I've just completed my first oil change at 5K on my 23 S5. I used a fluid extractor to remove the oil through the dipstick opening. I used all Audi supplied parts (filter and 508/509 oil). No where in the owners manual or on the Audi website could I find the listed oil capacity. On line tutorials stated it was 7.75 quarts as well as ECS Tuning which listed 8 quarts as sufficient. When I refilled the engine with 7.75 quarts the MMI doesn't show the oil all the way to the top of the graph. I also purchased an ECS Tuning dipstick and that shows the oil as just touching the absolute bottom of the dipstick. To be certain I added the correct amount of oil I called the dealership where I bought the car and they punched in my VIN number and stated the engine takes 7.7 quarts of oil. Can anyone explain why the MMI is not showing the graph as full? When I purchased the car and checked the oil the graph went all the way to the top. Also my fluid extractor is showing over 8 quarts of oil.
Thanks in advance
