    B8 balance shaft replacement help!

So a while ago the intake side balance shaft seized on my b8 a4. I tore it down and fixed it and installed a new timing chain at the same time.

Car started up and ran with no codes but after a few minutes the low oil pressure light came on. I shit it off and after some research realized that I got sold fake balance shafts which are known for causing low oil pressure due to bad tolerances.

Now, I’ve ordered new Oem shafts and gonna swap them and hope all is well. My main concern though, is that the old seized shaft was missing two of the plastic strainers when I pulled it. I’m thinking the probably melted but no idea where the pieces went. Was hoping for some advice on how to possibly clean the oil passages to make sure the new shaft won’t starve of oil. Any thoughts?

The only thing I can think of without a full teardown is to find some decent copper wire, like the kind that is used in your house, and gently push it down the holes around the bearings and stuff. It's very possible that they are in the oil pan as well and really shouldn't cause any issues as they wouldn't block the pickup tube in any major fashion.

if its missing the black plastic and the attached screen, I am almost 100% sure a screen was not installed. I have seen many times where the screen material gets torn off but the black plastic housing is always there. The only way to "clean out" a passage is to blow them out to the atmosphere else you just move particles from one place to another in the engine.
