Get it on a hoist and spin the wheels up. Do you hear a growling or humming noise? if so thats a wheel bearing. I do know of a TSB that states a 'clunk' when braking at lower speeds may pronounce itself. It says to lubricate where the bearing meets the steering knuckle housing.
If you have aftermarket brake pads that can also be the cause of a clunk from a stop. CV axles will have some play in them. Probably not enough to cause a clunk. Unless you are hearing a clicking noise when turning at full lock or on hard acceleration i wouldn't bother with the CV axles. They already got it wrong with the control arms, good chance they are wrong about the CV axle.
