3.2 engine swap into B8 chassis

Hi all! Unfortunately my 2008 a4 3.2 m6 bit the dust after hydroplaning into a guardrail, so now I’m stuck with a running car that has frame damage.

Saw a classified for a 2010 a4 roller with a 6 speed, and trying to figure out how intense the swap would be if I tried to drop in my current 3.2.

    What I know so far:
    - 3.2 engine was in conjunction with the same 6 speed that’s in the roller (just never in the US), and based on what I’ve seen it should bolt up to the transmission with no issue.
    - I will need to re work the exhaust.

Questions I am still chasing down:
    - are the engine mounting points different between the 2.0t and the 3.2? How difficult will that aspect be.
    - once I get the engine in the car, will it be a matter of splicing a few ECU wires, or will I need to run a Frankenstein setup using the b7 ecu to run the engine and the b8 ecu to operate the body of the car?
    - has anyone attempted this before? I understand it’s an odd swap, but it’s what I have on hand and I’m going to try to make it work!

    Thanks!

MY08 A4 3.1L (marketed as 3.2L, but it's really a 3.1L engine) is BKH. B8 era 3.2L is the CAL engine. The 2.8L BDX and 3.2L CAL engines were, per the Audi SSP 411 document (can find that via google):
Moreover, this engine is a new technology platform. Featured new technologies are the Audi valvelift system, a flow-regulated oil pump with dual-stage pressure control and trioval sprockets.
The engine ECM (J623 aka 01-engine) is going to have to be matched to the engine. So can you put a B7 era ECM into a B8 vehicle and have the stuff work? The J623 is part of the immobilizer set in B8. You'd have to know that the immobilizer adaptation would work with a completely mismatched J623, or do some kind of immobilizer delete.

I don't think it's worth the trouble. Probably more effective to find a trade of the BKH for a CAL engine, or skip 3.2L N/A, unload the BKH, and just find a 3.0T CCBA supercharged engine to put in that roller. That's what you really want to do.
