Random faults popping up in unison

Seems unlikely given the long time period you've had the problem, but have you checked the battery? A mildly weak battery may still start the car, power lights, etc., but will allow voltage variations that are enough to trigger a variety of faults. Several AZ threads discuss this.

I have checked out the battery and it is all good. Thanks for the idea though.

I can affirm this... on a B8.5 S4... a crushed temp sensor cause an astounding array of seeming unrelated faults. ABS, EPC, TCU, Sport Diff..... to name a few.

I just happen to pick the Air Temp as the low hanging fruit problem to start the troubleshooting and POOF!!! all the other issues cleared them selves!

Gotta love Audi and their cross connected systems!!

When you had this issue, was the outside temperature readout in your instrument cluster also showing the wrong outside temp?
