with interior storage already being terrible in this car - has anyone removed the wireless charging box in the center console? it drives me nuts how it limits the vertical space and how the cupholders have to be empty for you to slide it forward.

also, not sure about others but my phone was to be perfectly aligned for it to even start working and it's hella slow.

Amazon sells a kit that basically fakes it.

    It charges super slow though

Mine on a 2020 works perfect. I can run AA with maps / gps running wirelessly and it'll keep the battery charged while I do in the cradle. Keep my phone from flying around when I drive stupid too. LOL

    b9.5 wireless charger removal

I tend to just plug my phone in when I’m in the car. My wife will use the charging pad if her battery is low but she doesn’t like how hot her phone gets. It seems to work ok, aside from being a bit finicky with the placement.

Apologies for reviving this old thread. Did you figure out a solution. Like you I find the wireless charger to be worthless. Don’t get me wrong, it works, it’s just not convenient and for 99% of the time I have zero need to charge my phone. It’s only during long trips that I find the need to charge the phone. Even in that situation the placement of the wireless charger makes the phone in an inconvenient place. Far easier to just plug the phone into one of usb outlets.

So, I want to remove the wireless charger and replace with usable storage. Find a solution?
