    2010 a8 ac issue

Hi I’m from the b5 forum and I’m looking at picking up a friends really clean d3 a8L. Only issue it has is the passenger side ac blows hot. Dealership has taken the dash apart and looked into it but can’t replicate an issue. It does happen intermittent. Has anyone had this issue before? Any tips where to look? Driver side blows fine and the rear is fine.

    Thanks in advance.

First, I’d check the blend door actuator. These can sometimes get stuck or fail, causing one side to blow hot while the other works fine. Since the issue is intermittent, it might be starting to fail and only getting stuck sometimes.
Also, consider the AC control module. Sometimes, a software update or reset can fix these issues. Have the dealership checked for any updates?
It could also be a refrigerant-level problem. If the system is a bit low, it can sometimes cause one side to not cool properly, especially under certain conditions.
Plus, test the temperature sensor. A malfunctioning sensor on the passenger side could send wrong information to the control module, causing it to blow hot air when it shouldn’t.
