B8 A4 Top Mount Turbo Build +500awhp

Hey everyone, I am building a top mount build with the goal of minimum 550awhp.
I noticed our cars don’t have much out there for research so I’ll do my best to help provide knowledge.

This is my first time doing a big turbo setup.
I am very mechanically inclined, yet haven’t had the opportunity till now, tips and pointers are appreciated.

I’d like to start with the build plan.
I will be doing a complete engine rebuild.
This means; valves, springs and lifters, along with pistons, rods and bearings
Custom exhaust manifold.
T4 divided pt6466 or pt6266 Gen2
Twin disc clutch + flywheel
For tuning, I know a guy that currently has a similar setup with Eurodyne, will go off that or learn myself.

This build will be completed for spring time.
I will be making YouTube videos on the process (filmed the first one today)

I will do my best to make a parts list but it always changes as you go.

Main build parts:
Precision turbo 6266 gen2 or 6466 gen2
Two V-band turbosmart BOVs
Custom manifold from lunchboxfabrication
DKM stage 5 twin disc+flywheel
Oil lines tbd.
CTS PCV block off plate
Ferrea valves
IE Springs
HPFP Upgraded piston
Retro fitting Walbro 450 (will make video)
Riffle drilled IE 22mm rods + pins
Mahle 22mm pistons
Calico coated rods bearings
ARP Rod bolts
ARP Main studs
ARP Head studs
(Will upgrade stock intake manifold, want to see how far ours stock can go)
Big brake kit at some point

Obvious maintenance:
Timing chain kit (comes with all top end seals)
Plugs
R8 coils
034 Rear main seal
Water pump
Oil pump
New belt

Sounds like a fun project I'll be looking forward to checking out your videos. There should be a lot of good info in the big turbo threads that may not be the same setup but still applicable and informative. good luck!

For Tuning this build I highly recommend you check out Ward Performance Tuning on Facebook. He’s proven to be the best tuner for this platform and is a pleasure to work with. He does remote tuning using HP tuners. He has a group on Facebook I’d recommend joining. I’d even hit him up to make sure you have all the correct parts and what not. I wouldn’t go any other route for tuning personally.
