Apologies if this isn't the right place for this post; I didn't see a forum specific to paint? If there is one, please let me know and I'll remove/repost appropriately.
I need to replace the two rear lower door blades on my 2008 B7 S4; one has popped/rusted off and the other, I can see, is getting ready to push it's way off the mount. I was fortunate to get the front two replace under Audi's rust warranty; dealership told me I got literally the last two OEM in existence... But I digress.
It seems that the only option is to get used off of eBay but of the ones I've seen I'm not certain that they're in good enough shape on the attachment side of things; I'm not so concerned about dings/scratches/etc. That can get repaired of course.
As I consider what to do, one option is to get these carbon fiber replacements. I'm not certain how those will look on my car, and the stock look has never bothered me anyway, so I'm wondering if it's possible to paint over carbon fiber such that it'll match the finish of the car? I haven't been able to find a definitive post on the Internet about painting over carbon fiber. Anyone here know if it's possible/advisable?
Thanks in advance for your help!
