Hmm. Yes, I have to agree on your first point.

Wow, I seriously cannot believe this decision. They bring out the performance version, but drop the performance brake option. It doesn't make any sense.

They might be added later, it is a supply issue. The rotors are made in Ukraine so in short supply at the moment. They are basically using all the ceramic rotors that have to build the last of the R8’s. Then they can take down that assembly line and reconfigure for something different.

I believe (but could be wrong) that the ceramic brakes are an option on the RS7 but not on the RS6. At least that what I see when you go to configure a car on the Audi website.

My Audi dealer just texted me last week and said neither the RS6 Avant or RS7 have the option for ceramics. And as I noted on my previous post, the top speed limiter is 155mph no matter what options you get! Soooo, now I'm contemplating on getting a '23 with cermaics and just getting a Stage 1 tune from MTM or somewhere and will have more HP than the Performance edition and it'll have a 185mph top speed.

    A 2023 rs7 with a stage 1 tune will get over 185mph

The car hits 195mph stock of it has ceramic brakes. federal regulations just won't let them sell a car that goes over 155mph with stock brakes because steel brakes don't stop the car fast enough to hit the regulatory number at those speeds

Most tunes remove the electronic supressed top speed limiter though
