    A4 1.8T wouldn't start or stay running

The car was built as a project and ran without any issues for a while, then one day, it misfired terribly and died. After that, it would crank but not start.

Here are the reasons and parts I threw at it.
Would crank but not start: Generic crank sensor from Oreily's.
Looked like low fuel pressure at the rail: New fuel pump
    Horrible spark plugs: Spark plugs
Deleted the immobilizer according to local tuner.

Now here's what the car is doing.
    1. Would still crank and not start.
    OR
    2. Starts but shuts off after 1 or 2 seconds.

    Here are my questions.
Besides the wires going to the coil packs, is there a single point of failure any where that can cause a no spark issue? I ask because when I ask the builder, he wanted to put in a new harness because he had a single bad connector that prevented spark, but can't remember exactly which one. I have a feeling that this is my issue, but who knows. Also, the plugs smell like gas when I pulled one after cranking with the new spark plugs.
Is there anyone in the Seattle WA region that can delete the immobilizer?

If anyone has other ideas, I'm all ears.

    Thanks.

Peep the engine jet suction pump, that will make the car die off rip. Air leaks will usually just cause air metering issues, but suction pump will cause stall conditions. It's in the top right of the intake manifold. Easy and cheap to replace. All the hoses could be shit house as well

Well I think I found my issue and it's the immobilizer. Code P1570 (17978 - Engine Start Blocked by Immobilizer) comes up.

Is there ANYONE in the seattle area capable of disabling the immo on this ECU? If so, what's your price?

    Thanks.

Usually you gotta ship the ECU to Motoza for that.

Damn. Well I have a few B6 1.8T ecu's and I'm wondering if I delete the immobilizer in all of them if I could just swap them in the car with the same cluster.

Yes, if you turn IMMO off, then it will work in any B6 1.8T.

Or you can reprogram your Immo on your cluster with a VCDS cable and a couple programs you can download off the internet.

Sweet, that means I can have backups. Good to know, thanks.

I tried making a test bench and was successful, but only got the cluster working. The voltages and grounding the pin on the ecu was a pain and a half.
I also saw that you have to apply voltages to a pin out at a different time to get the ecu in 'boot mode' or something like that, so I placed that on the back burner. But if I have to ship my ecu, I'll try to get that done.
