2013 A5 No crank, no click, no start. *Intermittent*
All the lights on the dash come on, but the starter doesn't click or crank. That went on for two weeks. I went back to Maryland, got all of my tools, and returned here a few days ago when I jacked up the car and inspected the starter. Connections look fine. I dropped it back down and it started right up. Again, I didn't actually do anything.
It drove around for a day or so, then it wouldn't start again. No click, no crank, nothing. I'm pretty sure the starter, relay, fuse, etc is all fine. Battery voltage is 12.5V. I scanned the car (posted below) a few minutes ago and one alarm stood out to me: P3052 00 [032] - 50 Short to Plus
I have absolutely no idea where to look in here. I'm pretty familiar with the engine bay since I had the engine out but I really have no idea where or how to look for a possible short. The intermittent nature of this issue makes me think a short might be the culprit, and I really don't think I can get the starter out with the engine in. I forgot to put the starter in when I mounted the engine and I *almost* removed the engine again to get it in because it was such a pain in the ass. With nothing bolted to the engine we were able to jack it up and remove the mount but I'm not sure I could do it now with everything in there.
Any ideas? I am pretty good with electronics but I have the crappiest documentation on this car, and it rarely seems to be correct. Thanks for any help!
