So have you taking the jump and had your car Ceramic Coated for protection?

    What's been your experience?

Do you prefer to Clay/Wax or Clay/Sealant yourself?

I just had my car covered with Adam Graphene Ceramic Advantage. It was professionally applied. The car encountered a bad case of water spotting, not my fault. I was able to get the paint about 75% clear. Decided to have the paint corrected. The shop owner talked me into the Adams product. For the previous 25 years I have been devoted to the Klasse system. Mostly due to the longevity and the supporting products keeping the coating fresh. Great shine but did attract dust somewhat.

Now to the Graphene, very impressed so far. It has only been a month though. Very low dust attraction. The car stays cleaner much longer. If you use the Graphene it is advised for the best response to use products developed specifically for keeping the Graphene coating up. Car wash shampo and detail spray as well as a longer lasting Booster eBay few months. The car cleans easy with decent water shedding. The Advantage is said to be good 9 years. But as I said it does require it’s own developed maintainer’s. I would recommend it for someone that enjoys maintains the cars appearance. As a one and done for 9 years I have no experience, but what’s the claim.

Look up on the Adams site, it gives you good maintenance information.

The detail spray can be used as a water displacer when drying, works nicely on the rims, specially the lug nut area and mirrors housing.

Hope this helps and as I said check out the Adams videos of their product usage, very informative.

BTW the usual paint prep is required for the best results. Claying, paint correction etc.

I had my car PPFed with Xpel Fusion on top. So far so good. Clean up on my black car is much easier though I’m not sure I can say it’s night and day better than a well-waxed car. I do, however, really like the Xpel Boost. I’ve used a bunch of spray detailers and this is certainly my favorite. Easy on easy off, high gloss and super slippery. Smells good too, lol. Like Grape Bubblicious.

I also went with XPEL PPF + their Fusion ceramic coating. 10mil full PPF for the protection and the ceramic for easier cleaning. A bit expensive, but so far no regrets. It looks amazing now, but time will tell how long it holds up.

This thread would be awesome with some pics! =)

I haven't hopped onto the PPF or Ceramic coat wagon quite yet. As a 25-year detailer, I still love the constant upkeep of paint correction with a wax or sealant at the end. At least at the current ceramic coat prices. I genuinely think it will be AWESOME if these last 5+ years. Definitely seems worth the investment then.

It feels like a clear coat that is protecting your clear coat.

Adams ia great product! I still standby Chemical Guys as the most user-friendly.

I have had the front end covered with ppf to help deter lovebug acid and small rock chips ... and then had Ceramic Pro applied over all ... it's been 4 years now ...

Every wash (once a week) returns the finish to a fresh claybar clean ...
