So, I thought my car only supported gasoline 91 octane or higher. I did not think it supported Flex Fuel. When I do a VIN lookup it doesn't say anything about E85 and same thing when I reviewed the window sticker. However, the user manual says to check the gas cap. When I checked the cap, it says ethanol fuel and/or unleaded gasoline. Needless to say, I was a little shocked to see this. Why did Audi take this approach? Is there any other way to verify that it definitely supports E85 without taking it to the dealer? What if somebody replaced the fuel filler door due to an accident? Just seems wild that they would expect the consumer to only rely on this one sticker.
