Message popped up on cluster. Right side light/daytime running light. Now rh drl is not lighting up. Is the headlight junk now? 2015 a3. I know the drl module is inside the headlight.

Same here - 2019 RS3. The bottom portion of both sides has been burnt out for some time. Now on the right side the large single line is out (though the turn signal still works).

My understanding is that from Audi, the only available part is the entire assembly, which is very expensive, like $2K per side. I am going to try and find a set from a wreck or similar but that doesn't seem promising.

There are LED modules for sale on eBay. No clue on quality. Look for 8V0998473A (left) and 8V0998474A (right) - I just ordered a set for $78 so we'll see. To replace, you have to remove the front bumper to get access to the headlight module, the DRL module is on there and I don't think it's accessible while on the car.

EDIT: note that all the above is for LED headlights.

Thanks - is that DRL, or main/high beams? Hard to tell since the part is listed only as "Led Unit"

Every part on the car including headlight parts have part numbers on them...

Get the part number off the part you need and google it. Or find an online Audi parts place and enter the number...
