VCDS Coding for Exhaust Flaps on 2013 D4 A8

    Hello,

I have a 2013 A8 4.0t. Contrary to every other D4 I've seen, my car has pneumatic exhaust valves, not electric like the others I've seen.

Anyways, I'd like the valves to always be open when the car is in Dynamic mode. Right now, the only time I can get them to be always open is if the transmission is in Sport mode. Does anyone know the proper coding to have them always open when in Dynamic?

    Thank you,
    Adam

According to Audi they should always be open and only close one of the two tail pipes on each side in 4-cylinder mode to avoid drone. You can find that information in the engine self study guide here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1a-a...w?usp=drivesdk

Unless of course someone changed the exhaust and was somehow able to deactivate the 4-cylinder mode on yours.

Unfortunately, this is not true. They open and close are various times (in both Comfort and Dynamic modes) depending on rpm, load, etc. I'd like to code them to be always open when in Dynamic mode.
