Intake (left) side of engine, 2 ground locations?

I'm brain farting and cannot recall where these 2 grounds go on the intake side (left side) of the engine.

    TIA!

The left one, is that not the lug to the B+ post on the alternator? And the right one, the knock sensor?

The only close ground on the left side of the engine bay is under the coolant reservoir and ABS valve unit.

Hah! I completely forgot about the alternator! It was buried under other stuff. Good call!

The triple square one is the knock sensor?! No kidding. I actually did not know this.

I'll ask where does it goes? I'll try and look it up though

…I think it might. Is there a green plug on the other side?

Just happened to capture a similar wire in my travels today!

Yeah, the knock sensor removal is a "simple" three step process: unplug sensor, remove coolant pump, remove sensor.
Unfortunately, the accuracy of the knock sensor is very dependent on proper torque of the bolt, so not something you can just "get it mounted somehow". Torque spec is 20 Nm.

Smac, you helped me figure it out and I found it in the manual. Thank you so much!!

Snice, your pic is exactly like mine. What is in the manual that I have isn't exactly what we both have but it helped me figure it out.

PITA I had to take off the water pump again, but I had it all complete in 20 mins.
