Hi,

A little while back were driving our 2006 B7 2.0 TFSI Quattro with manual when doing a 3 point turn hard heard something snap. We took it to our local mechanic in Croatia and he said it was the power steering pump. He replaced it, however issue persisted and also had the power steering fluid splatter. He said the power steering pump that was replaced was defective and is trying to get a new one. I am starting to think it's the power steering rack that needs to be replaced based on information online.

What's the best way to get to the bottom of the problem if its the steering rack, pump or the hoses?
