Radiator Fans Don't Turn On, Diagnosis and DIY Help Please!

Hi new here so hopefully this is the right place for my 2007 Audi A4 2.0T Quattro I've been driving for some years now, nearing 200k mi on odometer.

Had some issues recently with the AC blowing warm and switching to ECO mode during longer drives. Previous owner let me know the car did really well with a once in a while freon recharge so I was getting ready to do that when as part of my due diligence I checked the radiator fans and saw that they wouldn't turn on! This is after fully warming up the car.

I went ahead and pulled the AC fuse in the upper left corner of driver side panel, which should turn on the fans and they still didn't turn on! Manually trying to turn them, once is harder than the other to move.

I'm getting ready to DIY this and did some research on getting the car into the service position so I can move the radiator forward and get access to the fan assembly as well as a link to buy from Europarts : https://www.europaparts.com/dual-rad...8e0998455.html

Now before I start this I'm looking for some advice on what else I can do to diagnose what else could be bad. How can I find out if I also need to replace the fan control module?

Are there any sensors that I should test and/or replace while doing the job?

Is there anything else connected to the fans that I should be testing?

Would really appreciate any help offered as I am without my daily driver until this gets fixed.

I believe there is a fan relay, but can't say where its located. Maybe try running 12v direct, to see if fan(s) run?

There if a fan control module that sits right above the fan assembly. The part: https://www.europaparts.com/fan-cont...0959501ag.html

Not sure how I might run 12v direct to the fans?
