I'm currently mulling over the purchase of a Stage 3 car built by EPL. I haven't been on this forum in ages and had never heard of them, so I did some googling for info and found mention of their out-of-the-blue closing and some concerns with ECU re-flashing. Now this was in the B9 forum, but i was curious if there were any issues with B5 cars since then.

I had a TiAL 605 car tuned by Tony@epl, it ran strong.

EPL had been very active in tuning quite a good while ago.
The shop was well regarded, I have no idea about the story of how/why they closed.
If the car had been done by EPL, it was that was likely 10+ years ago.

I'd be confident in a tune completed by Tony/EPL if all of the car's specs stayed the same since.

If it’s flashed, any tuner can write over it. But EPL cars have always been solid.

always had a good reputation. I understood they stepped away from B5s to focus on supercharged 3.0 cars, then Tony retired.
