    Sub install question

I'm ready to install my sub figured out all my connections except 1. I have a question about grounding the line out convertor.

I don't have the b&o system but I have nav and all that, I am going to mount the Amp in the factory location behind the panel and mount the free air 10" pioneer sub in the factory sub location on the parcel shelf so everything looks oem and hidden. I am taking the high level input into a kicker converter so I can convert it to rca into the Amp, I want to mount the converter under the parcel shelf as well so it's out of the way and I am curious if I can ground the converter to the metal of the parcel shelf?

Is that a good or bad idea? I am grounding the Amp to the bolt in the wheel well by the battery, but that's too far for where I'm putting the converter.

Sorry if it's a dumb question. I just want to plan correctly before I mess something up

Use a meter and see if you measure 12v from the position to the battery positive. If so, it would seem a reasonable ground position to try.
