Hey I have a 2016 S6 with nonsport mufflers.
I have catless downpipes and the front resonators removed. However its still rather quit for the most part.

Without getting a whole exhaust system (budget prohibitive)

I'm always looking for used sport mufflers. However I wanted to get some opinions on removing the center suitcase and replacing with an x pipe. I have 2.5" x pipe sitting in the garage I can throw on. Or should I hold out for the mufflers.

just get the suitcase deleted with the X-Pipe.

that should get you the sound you are looking for.

any exhaust shop should be able to weld that in for you

personally i would ditch the mufflers and keep the suitcase. I love the sound of that setup it removes the odd frequencies that you prob would not like about the exhaust note
