    2009 B8 - convert to HEATED seats

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
My 2009 B8 A4 Avant Quattro came WITHOUT heated seats.
Is buying B8 (sedan) heated front seats a 'plug and play' install?
Is my car prewired for heated heats? Get dash button/switch (haven't checked how heated seats are activated/controlled in B8) and pop in?
    Change softcoding (I have Vagcom)?

You probably have the low line version of the J519 without the pins on the 6-pin plug socket (rev C instead of rev D). Unless you have HID headlamps; those will also kick the J519 up to the high line version.
MY09 avant, heated seats were standard on Premium Plus and Prestige, optional on Premium. HID was not optional on Premium, so you probably have the low line J519.

And no, the wiring won't be there. If you look at the connector station in the floorboard under the seat, you won't see the green plugs.

You'll need a different J255 climate controls unit, with the heated seat buttons. That's probably component protected, so you'll need that reset.
The high line J519 if you don't have it. Then the wiring and the heater pads.
