    Panorama sunroof B8 Avant erratic

    Need to trick the sunroof to fully close.
    Bad control/switch? Replace? Clean/repair?
    Or re learn/program (I have VAGcom)?

    Clean the brush mechanism on the switch, also bend the contact towards the metal strip to not be so erratic. Common problem on B6, they have DIY for this also.

    May need to calibrate it. I've had to do it once. Just Google a4 b8 sub roof calibration. You have to hold the arrow button for a minute or something like that.

    check the rails for any debris. I had an issue with my sunroof not closing last summer. Just when its about an inch away from closing it would retract. I stuck a small flat head in the rails and slowly moved towards the front when I felt a small debris. It ended up being a very tiny piece of pebble that fell into the rails somehow. No issues since.
