No, you need to remove the front of the car and the left engine mount. I did it around 7 years ago.

Would have to pull the front anyway.

Was seeing conflicted info for the RS4, S4 no pull needed, couldn't figure out why.

PO of my car had AC compressor done at a euro shop. Engine was not pulled. As far as what needs and doesn't need to be removed I don't know, that's up to others to inform of here. I saw this video a while ago which might have relatable info for our cars:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1aiZMlxUeY

Water pump/thermo housing needs to be pulled as anticipated, just wasn't sure about clearance.

Good time to swap to the lower temp thermostat, debating if I should do the JHM 6 rib kit. Need to order the torque mount too since I can install the billet mounts I've had sitting around.

Got another one, WaveTrac LSD for the rear, double checking that they don't make one for the RS4 rear just the S4. Part number and info says only S4 unless there was an update.

If your car has pretty high miles and no record of engine mounts, might as well do em at the same time. When the shop did my starter they also had to remove one of the engine mounts anyways so I had them throw in the 034 street mounts w/resistors

I would echo engine mounts around 100K, esp if original.

I was going to do the mounts, just need to order the torque mount like I already stated (post #5) my issue is the LSD and conformation in my last post (post #6).

If it doesn't fit you can always find a b6 housing with 4:11 final that will fit the lsd. The housing can be swap to the RS4. This is what I did to get my old Stasis lsd to work.

Option for another day, I am either going to rebuild the current with with a Wave Trac if it's plug and play or just get a rebuilt JHM with HLSD but if not just a trip and get the JHM diff.

Need verification: I'm currently doing water pump swap and PO had a/c compressor changed. If water pump needed to be removed, so probably was the coolant hose at the back. This hose may not have been oriented properly by the shop that did the a/c compressor, now causing the leak. I need to mark that hose on both end to fit to the new water pump and get it on the aluminum pipe at the correct angle before sliding clamps over.

Asking because I might making incorrect marking on the hose, due to the previous shop having put it in carelessly , incorrectly, and the same problem may rear its head in the form of a failed coolant hose in the future
