    How much for insurance

I’ve just relocated to the USA, I’m looking to buy another RS model. What kind price do people pay for full insurance on their RS7s.

Auto insurance premiums are variable. An older car has lower premium than a newer car. New York State is expensive, Maine is not. Audi USA has a marketing deal with AMICA Insurance; I don't know if that translates into lower premiums.

I pay 1100/6mo for mine which is a couple hundred higher than my a6 was but the rs7 also has twice the msrp. I also have higher limits than most, there are too many exotics in this town...

Depends on your rating territory (state you live in), driving record, miles, demographic (age/gender), others listed on your policy, etc. etc.

Easiest way is working with an Independent Agent/Agency that can shop around for you, that also has access to other insurers that you may not have heard of. Have my umbrella policy, auto's and home lumped together. The breakout is $1400/year for my 2014 S7, in NH, close to 40yrs old, accident in the last 3-5yrs. It all plays into it

Location, driving record, vehicle all play into the price for insurance, as does which company you are insured with.

Back coming out of college in fall 1994 I had a 1990 Chevy Baretta and I was in Lafayette, IN. I moved to Valparaiso, IN. Sold the Chevy and bought a brand new 1995 Mustang GT and switched from USAA to State Farm insurance. Price was the same.

Comparing car insurance premiums with strangers online is a waste of time. Rates will vary greatly, depending on owner age, gender, credit score, miles driven per year, state/county/zip code of residence, limits of coverage vs deductibles, etc., etc.

Wow. Everyone talking about their premiums being 1k+/6 months with an RS meanwhile I'm here with a 2012 A6 Prestige paying 1k/6 months. It's not great being a sub-25 year old guy with a German car, even with a fault-free accident history.

Im the same as above. I have my partners car on my insurance so its “technically” cheaper but it was 1200 for just my car and 1400 with both our cars every 6 months. Its about $160/car per month but theres two cars.

Im 40 with zero at fault claims. I have two, one comprehensive due to a break in, and a hit and run when my car was parked.....the H&R was a total out of the last car....but ironically, by total 6 month premium went down 200 when I bought the new S6.....

After 25, it should drop, than you might get married and it’s all over.
Insurance drops a lot when you have home owners insurance, if you married, and other things come to account as most of you have stated. Also multi auto policy comes in to a play as well. Single car and no other things to insure - sure yea. You paying premium regardless of driving record.
I currently own 2013 VW CC, 126k miles, have a home and 3 other cars, insurance for my car is 430 full coverage lol I don’t get it !

Agents will always provide a free quote when you are car shopping. Been a few times that I have decided to change my purchase after talking to my agent before buying. I get hit with excise tax in Indiana for a vehicle and it’s based on age and vehicle class. Crazy how much a license plate will cost sometimes. Many states have a flat fee for the vehicle regardless of make and age

I recently got an RS7 and I'm in California. My full coverage affordable car insurance runs about $3,200 per year. I’m with State Farm, and I’m 29 with a few years of driving experience in the US. The RS7 is definitely on the pricier side to insure because it’s a luxury sports car with a powerful engine.

I was right at $900 for the A7, the A8 went up to $1200.

I guess I'll stop carrying full coverage once the car depreciates enough.

Although, I understand insurance being high here. I live in a 2m metro area where drivers ed isn't required and there are illegals with no licenses and insurance all over the road.

$1800 CAD a year, for the A6 TDI, 9+ year clean record, old, married, multiple vehicles, full coverage....
The insurance companies have a rating system that varies with both year and model of vehicle, plus all the other factors like location, use, driver record, etc.

In my hood, the "rating" varies significantly between models\years for the 4 different criteria that apply to the vehicle portion... here's an example. (obviously, lower number is better)

    Shittttt...

I pay $3300 for my TDI but I do live in Mississauga so perhaps that plays a role in it. Clean driving record. Haven't had a speeding ticket in over 20yrs. No accidents, etc and I'm 37. Crazy that the cheapest insurance company that quoted me was Aviva and it was barely noticeable that I couldn't justify switching.

Yup... I'm with Aviva, in KW, and I have a '14 which if you look at the ratings I posted is much better than a '16..... so if you have a '16 and are in GTA, that all adds up..... I also have a clean record and 10 years on you....
