I’ve just moved to the USA. I’m looking to buy a RSQ8, but before I do, I’m looking to get an indication of what people are paying for insurance and which provider.
I had a quote which to me seems excessive $8000
    Thanks
    Paul

Insurance is personal. Depends on the individual, some providers look at credit history, education, obviously location, job, past driving record, number of licensed drivers at the same address etc.

Best advice is to call around and get as many quotes as possible.
Life has taught me never try to make something idiot proof, they'll simply come up with a better idiot.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.
I have neither the time, nor the crayons to explain this to you properly.

This also could be as the usa insurance companies are treating you as a new driver.

They normal factor driving record, credit scores and area that you currently reside if there is alot of accidents causes by other drivers.

Where do you now live? Insurance varies widely based on the insured's location.

It WILL be on the higher end of cars to insure period -- one of Audis priciest models, combined with part shortage, combined with high Value.

But as others mentioned, insurance today is all over the place on pricing, and based on too many factors to give you an accurate ballpark.

Age, zip code where parked, driving history are some of the major hitters here for price.

    Good luck!
