Driving home from visiting the grands today we got a warning messge on our 2018 Q5 Premium 2.0T with 68K miles. We were about 200 miles into the trip and stopped to eat. We resumed our trip and were approximately 4 to 5 miles down the road and we got a "Drive system error" message and noticed a big reduction in power. The CEL light and warning triangle were lit. Got home and used my OBD11 to scan for codes. Here are the results:
1. Engine (01) - P334A00 Charge pressure actuator. Makes since due to the loss of power.
2. Air Conditioning (08) - Passenger vent gate (or something), We get this one on a regular bassis and I just clear it.
3. Central Electrics (09) - Left rear reading lamp. Another nonesense fault that shows up occasionally.
While running the scan, another message appeared on the dash "Start/Stop System Malfunction". I cleared all codes and went for a test drive. Everything seeming good for about 1 mile until the "Drive system error" and "Start/Stop System Malfunction" reappeared.
Is it fairly safe to assume it is the Charge Pressure Actuator, or is this a bigger issue? Is it possible to only chnge the actuator and not the entire turbo? I appreciate any input or experiences you may have.
