Looking for a kit. What's the best route to go? There are a bunch of options. Any experiences with them?

Lemforder is the highest quality (but $$$) and some other brands come close. The Meyle HD stuff is pretty nice too and a better bargain. Plenty of off brand options out there but this isn't a job you really want to do that often.

Lemforder for sure - get from FCP Euro - Lifetime warranty!

I installed Meyle HD on two cars with no issues so far. First one was back in 2018 and I had 5000 miles before selling and my son's B5 A4. He still drives with 20000 or more, no issue.

A third car used control arms from Rock Auto and replaced the lower arms because the shock bushing failed within a few thousand miles. I think it was Moog and not really a bargain after all...

Thanks guys. Can't decide. Don't want to go cheap but $1000 for almost all the pieces is kinda high.

I wouldn't hesitate to install a Meyle HD kit if I wasn't such a stickler for trying to keep it OE. Holding the lower fronts side by side, the MHD shock bushing is actually beefier than the Lemforder part. My only gripe w/ the MHD kit is the outer tie rods are not the solid/one-piece type (which comes standard on S4).

Only other thing I'll mention is that I have installed a set of 'Ocap' control arms before from Blauparts and the quality was considerably worse than the other two described. I can't recommend that kit or anything comparable.

I replaced mine with the Meyle HD and can say they've been great. About 5 years since they were installed.
