B8.5 - is there such a thing as normal suspension noise?

Just picked up my 15' S4 with the adaptive suspension and 30K miles on it.

Looks, smells and drives like new from what I can tell.

My daily is a Ram 1500 with upgraded suspension (Bilstein 6112/fox 2.0) for ref., It rides damn well to me, it is my only comparison at the moment (apples to oranges I know)

What I have noticed in the Audi is on rough/back roads there is an occasional mild clunk sound both front and back, left and right.

Nothing harsh or felt in the car, just a little noise. Spirited driving feels amazing and no major noise.

Being new to the car and paying attention to everything I am just wondering if these cars make a little noise as their nature, kinda like the idle not being all that smooth.

    Thanks

I've added: 30% ceramic tint, Vled's 5K fogs and reverse bulbs, Osram CBN HID bulbs, Jackal Motorsports Stage 1 with DSG tune (NGK BKR8EIX plugs @ .026"), APR Carbon Fiber intake and tube, CR-15 brace, EuroCode Alu Kruez and DSG insert.

Suspension noise is not normal. Mine is a 13 and the suspension is silent. I did a control arm kit and all four shocks last year though. If it’s clunking something is wrong.

The bad thing is regardless of the low mileage the rubber parts are still affected by time and sometimes the worst thing for a car is to sit and it seems like you’re car did a lot of that. Have someone sit in the back and try to isolate what side it’s coming from and go from there. Shouldn’t be too bad to fix if it’s just a bushing or shock. Shocks are hugely affected by sitting.

I have a ‘14 and my bushings were spent 150k miles, some clunking. Replaced control arms, much better but still have some future suspension needs.
I recently looked at a ‘15 A5 s line sport suspension with 36k miles beautiful car, bushing were in similar or even worse shape than my ‘14 with all those extra miles.

Don’t overlook the sway bar bushings either. Just get some aftermarket poly ones while you’re at it and be done if you’re keeping the stock bars in place.

My 2013 with 91K miles is silent. You need to have your suspension checked

I may be hypersensative being the car is new to me.

I was riding in my friends new Explorer with low pro tires and it it also makes noise.

I believe what I am hearing is more tire noise from the low profile 19's.

My truck also make a similar noise now that I am listening however that have taller sidewalls and larger wheel well gaps so its not as loud.
